Just a little knowledge to share about some of the muscles I work on during your massages and what they do! 🧠💪

I love studying muscles and movement (aka kinesiology)!!
But there are more layers and layers of muscles back there… 🤣 (see what I did there)

When I’m not working on muscles, I’m studying—expanding my knowledge, learning new techniques, and diving deeper into how the body truly functions.

I seriously can’t get enough!

So if you’re needing a massage for your neck or back…
Just know it’s not always as simple as “the spot that hurts.” A lot of neck and back pain comes from deeper muscles, tension patterns, posture, stress, or even compensation from other areas like the shoulders, hips, or jaw.

That’s why I focus on what’s causing the tension, not just where you feel it.

✨ An important note for my community ✨

First and foremost, I want to say how incredibly grateful I am for each and every one of you who has supported Intentional Wellness at the Sanctuary.

I have been working so hard to create a space where everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and cared for — and that work continues every single day.

I want to be transparent with you — there are some things I had hoped to offer that just haven’t come together the way I envisioned, and rather than force something that isn’t ready, I’ve made the decision to revisit those things at a later time. I am committed to doing this right, and I will never stop working diligently to grow this space into something truly beautiful and meaningful for all of you.

📌 A few important things I want to clarify:
The Sanctuary is a building that houses two completely separate and independent businesses. My business, Intentional Wellness at the Sanctuary, is its own practice with its own vision, services, and offerings. Also located within is an entirely separate business. We share a space, but we are not affiliated, partnered, or connected in any business capacity.

Intentional Wellness at the Sanctuary is the only official voice for my business. Any posts, mentions, or information about my business appearing on other pages or accounts have not been authorized by me. If you have seen my name or business listed on someone else’s page, please know I have no control over that — but if I become aware of it, I will always step in and comment to make sure you have accurate information directly from me. You deserve the truth straight from the source, and I will never let my business go misrepresented or unanswered.

Perimenopause isn’t “just hormones.”
It can feel like your whole nervous system is rewiring.

Mood changes. Anxiety. Brain fog. Sleep issues. Weight shifts. Random body aches. Feeling overstimulated. Feeling exhausted… but wired.

And the hardest part?
So many women feel like they’re expected to just push through it silently.

But I want you to know: you are not crazy, and you are not alone. 🤍

We can’t always control the changes happening in the body…
but we can support the nervous system that’s being affected.
And when your nervous system is supported, your hormones, digestion, inflammation, sleep, and emotional regulation often improve too.

This isn’t about “fixing” you.
This is about supporting your body through a season of change—with care, consistency, and nervous system regulation.
