RDA is 0.36/lb protein- this number is just the minimum amount of protein necessary to prevent muscle loss and meet the body’s amino acid requirements.

for active indiv to maintain healthy muscle mass 0.54-0.9/lb

Active individuals who want muscle growth the goal is 0.72-1.0/lb

So… let’s talk protein balls. Here’s the recipe using the Choc zero honey. Walmart another brand you can use but BEWARE!!! Compar the carb content between the two!!! I highly recommend choc zero brand but it does cost a bit more. I also use SF lily’s peanut butter chips but you can use whatever flavor you want 🙂

Who has already prepped their meals for today or even better for the week? I find by doing this or having in my mind what I am going to have for each day helps out so much.
I will be having a yummy Herbalife protein shake for my lunch, a few protein balls as my snack and chicken, salad and broccoli or Brussel sprouts for supper.

I will post the recipe I use for protein balls today as well 🙂 with the nutritional facts.

I had my first açaí bowl on Saturday and it was delicious. I knew it was supposed to be a great nutritional choice but didn’t know why. So, I did some research….
Mine had frozen açaí puree on bottom, low carb Greek yogurt, strawberries, a small amt of banana, kind granola and a bit of almond butter. Wow what a delicious and nutritous treat.
