Oh Friends.
I have been putting off writing this message, but, alas. It is time.
Thank you all for an amazing 6 years at Prairie Escape Wellness Center! What started out 10 years ago as Myo Massage Therapy with one provider who needed to support her family AND have the utmost in flexibility in schedule, grew into something pretty incredible!
We created a beautiful space and filled it with laughs, tears and a multitude of moments of self care for so many. We supported many small businesses in and around our community and we have some wonderfully great memories and learned lessons to carry with us.
I thank you all for the messages, words of kindness and love along the way this year! Change is hard. Life is hard. But you’ve been there for me and for all that this has affected. Some of these conversations mentioned or asked about this failure that we’ve experienced-well, lemme stop you right there! From my perspective-I don’t view this as a failure. This has been so much more! So many learning moments, so many shared emotions between friends, a safe space for all and a great adventure for many! But as life moves forward, children grow, things change, chapters close and new ones begin. This is life. Grieving this loss hasn’t been easy and I continue navigate the waves as they come. Because it’s a finality to a way of life and a community I’ve loved.
I remind myself that change is good and we should embrace it and enjoy the journey. The choice to close was not an easy one to come to-but to be in control of the timeline, well, it is more comforting than being forced to do so by an outside variable.
There are BIG things ahead for the ‘old bank’ building in Prairie City and I am so very excited to watch the growth and success of the next chapter for the space. It’s gonna be so amazing!!! Look for big news to come soon!!
Time to make the next decade just as awesome as this last one. Take care of each other, my friends. But most importantly, take care of yourself!
💫With Love and a whole lotta light,
Kirsten
*edited to update that Shades of You, by Lori Cummings is still operating within the building as it transitions!
