Recently, our colleagues volunteered with SevenDays during a We Show Up® for Our Communities event, by making Kindness Bookmarks that will be given to various members in our community including elementary school students and senior citizens. The bookmarks were themed with uplifting and inspirational notes and quotes.
This work reflects the same heart, teamwork and commitment that guide how we care for people every day.

Never thought I’d be happy to see Kristen Doute on TV again, but she’s on and giving a voice to postpartum people everywhere.

Challenges with mood, body and intimacy among feeling grateful for the baby your body made and grew. Her community trying to support her, but the struggles are hard and oh so real. Watching her I wish someone would tell her to go talk to her doctor and find a path to feeling like herself again. If you are struggling, we are here for you 💙

Couldn’t let the week pass without recognizing the amazing Doulas we work with. The evidence is clear, doulas improve birth outcomes in many different ways. Thank you all for your hard work educating, supporting and advocating during such critical, sensitive moments.

Because the world feels heavy…. And she’ll probably be in last place next week.

This is not okay. A patient with capacity should be informed to make medical decisions and we should always honor them.

We may not always agree with the decisions made by our patients. Our job is to inform, counsel, answer questions and then support them to the best of our ability, especially during a time that is so precious and vulnerable like labor.

It is dissapointing that any medical staff would get the courts involved for a birthing person who refused interventions.

The birth world has evolved so much in the past few years. Patients know it’s important to create the right team for your birth and to be comfortable with your care, especially when times get tough and there are important decisions to make.

This patient fought hard to get the team she wanted despite insurance changes, moves across the world, everything! So inspiring!
