You may see some new jewelry on our postpartum unit at . We are implementing the post-birth alert system for our patients.

When a patient is pregnant or postpartum, their physiology is different than someone who has not been pregnant. This comes with a different set of medical conditions and risks. To ensure that all doctors/hospitals are aware of a patients postpartum status, we will be handing out these bracelets to ensure the highest standard of care for that person. It is recommended to wear them for the first 6-12 weeks and especially anytime accessing care.

Birth trauma come in many different forms. Healing from birth trauma is so important to be able to be present for our little ones. Check out this podcast with our very own Dr Ahmed!

Today we’ll dive into a sensitive topic that’s getting a lot of attention right now – birth trauma. This type of trauma doesn't always mean a worst-case scenario, like a NICU stay or a C-section, but rather those moments where things don’t go according to plan, and the experience leaves an e...

Looking for a great volunteering organization for your teen?? High school student ambassador spots are open! KindCraft does a monthly volunteer craft and the teens that help organize are so priceless! A great way to learn about different organizations in KC!

Student Ambassador Sign Ups just went out for our July service project event!

We often are asked, "What is a Student Ambassador?" and "How does my teen become a Student Ambassador?".

KindCraft's Student Ambassador Volunteer program is designed to provide middle and high school students with the opportunity to gain and utilize valuable leadership skills while making a difference in their community.

This is a great opportunity to do something good AND make an impact. By assisting at our events, you will learn about many local nonprofits doing great work in our area. You will also have the opportunity to work with children! We are looking for motivated, dependable, hard-working kids. We want you to be committed to the ideas and mission of KindCraft.

KindCraft ambassadors will take part in many aspects of each monthly event, including but not limited to helping to set up/take down supplies for the event; greeting guests and checking them into our registration system, facilitating activities, helping families with multiple children, and helping with directions. We would also LOVE to eventually have you take on even more of a leadership role and help with planning future event ideas, reaching out to the community for project ideas, and even leading your own service project.

To become a Student Ambassador for KindCraft, please complete the form on our website.

This is the unfortunate truth and what we are trying to change.

Many women aren’t heard or seen when they have gynecological concerns and that simply needs to change. Medicine is evolving and we have to listen to patients and find treatment options that work for them. There isn’t often a quick fix. Therapies are often multimodal—medicine, nutrition, physical therapy, cognitive therapy and even surgical procedures may be needed to improve the pain.

If you are struggling with pain, please reach out and schedule a consultation.
