Both the Pines and Pine Villa folks enjoyed a special "Indoor Picnic" for lunch in honor of ! The wonderful Vesperman Farms Ice Cream Truck visited both campuses as well, and to add to the fun, it was also "Summer Hat Day"! Everyone enjoyed donning their favorite hats.

September 7th - 13th is , which recognizes the important role assisted living residences play in caring for seniors. This year's theme is "Ageless Adventure". During this week, we will have special activities to celebrate our dedicated staff members and the seniors who call the Pines home. The folks celebrated Grandparents' Day with an Ice Cream Social on Sunday, and today everyone donned their travel wear to do some Armchair Traveling to Germany!

Back in August, both the Pines and Pine Villa were treated to two very talented musicians! It was "Piano Man" Richard Shaten's first performance here, and residents loved his wonderful mastery of the piano, his song selections and willingness to play requests. The folks' favorite accordionist, David Austin, played wonderful polkas and waltzes and got everyone's toes tapping and some up dancing as well!

It was a beautiful weekend for the annual Cow Chip Parade in Sauk City! Thank you to GraceWay Church for giving the Pines folks prime seating under tents on their lawn, and to the Pines kitchen staff for making delicious sack lunches for everyone to enjoy while waving at their fellow residents going by! It was wonderful to see 4 of our residents in the trishaws of Cycling Without Age Sauk Prairie. Thank you so much to the Pilots for making this happen, as well as all the Pines Staff and Volunteers for helping out throughout the day!
