Many of our patients ask us about the difference between using a water floss tool and regular string floss! The difference is simple: Waterflossers flush out food and plaque with water making it great for patients with braces and permanent retainers, and also those hard to reach areas.
String floss scrapes plaque from the sides of your teeth and is best for those tight contact points where plaque can build.
If you can, use both for a comprehensive clean! They both offer different benefits! 🦷 😆

Oral Health Myths VS Facts 🦷 ‼️

Myth: Sugar is the only cause of cavities.
Fact: Sugar is not the only cause of cavities! Cavities are caused by bacteria in the mouth feeding off of sugar, carbs, and acidic foods/ drinks. 🥤 🥖 🍭

Myth: Brushing harder cleans teeth better.
Fact: Aggressive scrubbing damages enamel and gums. Gentle brushing with a soft bristled tooth brush will get you an effective clean without causing harm. 🪥

Myth: No pain = No problems
Fact: Cavities and gum disease often develop silently in the early stages. Getting your regular 6 month cleaning and check up catches these problems in the early stages before pain begins! 🦷 🤕
