Hair loss is rarely just about the hair.
At the molecular level, your hair follicles are responding to signals happening deep inside the body.
When women start noticing thinning hair, widening parts, or increased shedding in the shower, it’s often the body’s way of saying something internally needs support.
Some of the most common root contributors include:
• Hormone shifts (perimenopause, menopause, postpartum)
• Thyroid dysfunction
• Iron or ferritin deficiencies
• Blood sugar instability
• Chronic inflammation
• High cortisol from long-term stress
• Nutrient depletion (zinc, biotin, selenium, protein)
Your hair follicles are incredibly metabolically active. They require consistent cellular energy, oxygen, and nutrients to stay in the growth phase.
When the body perceives stress or imbalance, it prioritizes survival over hair growth. The follicles shift from anagen (growth phase) into telogen (resting/shedding phase).

This conversation really hits close to home for me.

When I talk about peptide therapies, it’s not because it’s the newest trend or something to jump on a bandwagon about. I only offer them in situations where they genuinely make sense for a client’s physiology and goals.

Peptides are powerful signaling molecules. They interact with the body at a molecular level, influencing pathways related to repair, inflammation, metabolism, and tissue signaling. Because of that, they deserve to be approached with knowledge, respect, and proper oversight.
Unfortunately, the peptide space has also been filled with companies selling products labeled “not for human or animal consumption,” often without the safety standards or clinical understanding that clients deserve. The reality is you can only operate in that space for so long before regulators step in.
For me, it has always been about client safety first. That means working with 503A-compliant compounding pharmacies, appropriate supervision, and only using peptide therapies when they truly benefit the person sitting in front of me.

Not every client needs peptides.
But for the right person, used appropriately, they can be a powerful tool.

Peptides are not magic. They’re molecular messengers — and understanding the message is everything.

FROM THE ASHES: BBQ EVENT
Where loss becomes light and community becomes wings

Prescott Valley, AZ — Following a fire on the roof of the building and the temporary closure of Cashmere Inclusive, a new beginning is now unfolding. Sara Martin is rising from a difficult and unexpected setback with determination, gratitude, and the overwhelming support of her community.

The rooftop fire, though contained before spreading into the suites, caused significant damage to the building and left Sara’s business affected, disrupted, and forced to close. What followed, however, has been a powerful reminder of the heart of Prescott & Prescott Valley.

In the days after the incident, donations of salon chairs, blow dryers, hot tools, nail polish, supplies, and more poured in — each item a symbol of hope and a community lifting Sara when she needed it most.

“What I lost was more than equipment,” Sara shared. “But what I gained was the overwhelming love of a community willing to help me rise again.”

Now, as the temporary location prepares to open its doors, Sara is inviting the public to join her for a day of gratitude, healing, and rebirth.

On Saturday, December 13th, the community is warmly welcomed to attend:
