Have you seen that people are Quiting?
I didn't get it until I read the whole post!

Yesterday was considered the day most quit their New Year's Resolution....

I thought about it and said to myself....well I don't normally schedule my new year plan to begin until the middle of the month, so I am good there! And I haven't QUIT!

AND - the Challenge I am starting - doesn't start until January 24th when those that are quitting or have quit - are looking for a lifestyle change that is supported, not really hard, but requires a little persistence....with support!

Welcome to 2026!

Do you feel like you decreased your health in the last couple of months of 2025? A lot of people do. I know for me, with three weeks of travel in October, Thanksgiving in November and Holiday Parties and Christmas in December, I wasn't eating my normal anti-inflammatory nutritious way!

So I did some evaluations and am re-focused on my health as many of you -

I feel like small changes can begin the full change toward a healthy 2026! I don't say all or nothing, because it becomes NOTHING!

So for me, and everyone is different - I am back to anti-inflammatory eating - so what is that?

Two of the biggest things that affect my health are alcohol and sugar! So I am doing a dry January and no sugar!

Is it easy - not always but if I stay focused and continually evaluate how I feel, it becomes easier!

So - if you are in - Let me know what you are doing in January to support your health. Remember - small changes can make big differences!

Don't wait til Monday! (Although today feels like a Monday) do it now, write down, tell someone - tell me! and I will be there to support you!

Movement can be as easy as - push ups on your kitchen countertops!

Nutrition changes can be as easy as - reducing the amount of coffee you drink from 5 cups to 4 or 3!

My journey, I’m still on the trail!

I am a retired federal agent that knows how difficult it can be to compete physically with co-workers, in some cases, almost half my age. It was when I was preparing to deploy to Iraq that I thought I was in good shape; I had been working out and maintaining my weight! Oh yeah! Maintaining my weight! - well what I thought was doing alright, I found out after being compared to a co-worker who wasn’t working out at all, that I wasn’t cutting it! It was then that my self-esteem, pride and competitive energy welled back up and I started really working. But as a 40+ woman, working didn’t mean just working out. It meant figuring it out. Why was my weight rising, why didn’t I have the energy to do some things? My kids were in middle school and I thought I looked pretty good for a woman my age! Not until I looked at pictures was I more critical, AND of course when my boss called me the name of a women that was easily 100 pounds more than me....as I was walking away! WHAT! You heard me!

I have since lost some pounds. I still have my days that I struggle. I haven’t reached my goals YET but want to help you get started! Motivating you, motivates me! Let’s take this journey together! I look forward to seeing you in my groups and on my pages.
