It's an exciting time for heart health in our community! 🧡 The John and Pamela Osterman Electrophysiology (EP) Lab is now open at Yavapai Regional Medical Center's West Campus in Prescott.

Our new, state-of-the-art lab is where local cardiology experts diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders, like AFib, tachycardia, bradycardia and sudden cardiac arrest or syncope. It represents a significant leap forward in local cardiac care, thanks to the profound generosity of John and Pamela Osterman. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to our community's well-being!

Our recent and joyful ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together a wonderful group, including Prescott Mayor Cathey Rusing, YRMC President and CEO Dr. Anthony Torres, YRMC Foundation Chief Philanthropy Officer David Brennan, and the brilliant cardiac electrophysiologist Dr. Nisha Tung, who highlighted the growing impact of our electrophysiology program. We were also joined by YRMC Foundation members, hospital board members, and our dedicated staff, all celebrating this invaluable addition. 👏 Thank you to everyone who joined us in marking this special occasion and for supporting healthier hearts in Yavapai County!

🧡 130 Years of Compassion in Prescott! 🧡 Today, we're commemorating a remarkable legacy that paved the way for YRMC and health care in Prescott: the Sisters of Mercy!

📜 Dignity Health Yavapai Regional's roots stretch all the way back to 1896! That's when the Sisters of Mercy arrived in Prescott, bringing their unwavering commitment to healing and compassion to our communities of Yavapai County. From a quaint house on Marina Street to Prescott's first hospital, their vision created a foundation we still stand on today.

Even after a devastating fire, their spirit never left! In 2020, our affiliation with Dignity Health (founded by – you guessed it – the Sisters of Mercy!) was also a profound continuation of the Sisters' pioneering work. Their core values of Respect, Justice, Compassion, Stewardship, and Excellence resonate deeply with YRMC's mission.

If you've been inside Prescott Valley's Chapel of the Valley, then you've encountered their enduring presence. The original hospital's stained-glass windows, saved from the fire, are now a beautiful, tangible reminder of the Sisters' 130-year legacy that continues to inspire all who visit.

As Dr. Anthony Torres, YRMC's president and CEO, shares: "The Sisters’ example has left a lasting impact on this community and we are committed to embodying what they stood for every day.”
