Women are taught they are fragile, particularly after having kids. Watching women perform in the Olympics after having babies is an absolute power move.

You can complete the dream as a mother, don’t let them sell it to you different.

If eating before a workout makes you feel worse, the problem isn’t food… it’s how you’re eating. 🔥

Most athletes who struggle to eat before training are usually stuck in one of two camps 👇
👉 eating too much
👉 or not eating enough

Here is what is usually going wrong ⬇️

🥑 Too much fat and fiber too close to training
Fat and fiber slow digestion. When eaten right before a workout they can delay carb availability increase GI stress and leave you feeling heavy bloated or sluggish.

🍌 Not enough carbs
Carbs are your body’s preferred fuel for most workouts. If you under eat or skip food your body struggles to access quick energy which can lead to low power, dizziness, and early fatigue.

⏱️ Timing matters
What works three to four hours before a workout is very different than what works thirty to sixty minutes before. Same foods different outcomes.

✨ The goal is not to eat more or less
It is to eat the right amount at the right time with the right macronutrients so your body can actually use that fuel.

💬 If eating before workouts feels confusing stressful or is wrecking your gut I help athletes dial this in every day. DM me and let’s get you fueled not frustrated.

Not feeling confident? There’s a fix for that.

The confidence you gain when you can trust your body…
Oh the doors it opens…
And if you knew what was on the other side, what 3 months, 1 year, or 5 years of consistent action looked like for you…
You would start facing down the real factors keeping you stuck.

We only have today, but today shapes tomorrow. Don’t let another day go by thinking you need a different body to begin.

Start now. ✨

Freedom isn’t eating whatever feels good.
And it’s not never eating what tastes good.

Freedom is when your body is nourished enough
that food stops being an obsession.

That’s what real self-control looks like.
Not restriction. Not willpower.
But trust built through consistency.

And that’s why healing your relationship with food
is foundational to building a strong, capable body.

If your plan only works on perfect weeks, it’s already failing.

You don’t need more time, motivation, or discipline.
You need simpler systems that fit your real life.

15–45 minutes of intentional training and nutrition beats chasing perfection every time.

Stop overcomplicating. Start being intentional.

The antidote for burnout? I’m bias, but I love finding joy and inspiration by playing outdoors. Getting in movement just for the joy of it, helps me get after my training on hard days.

Your reservoir for discipline is only as deep as your reservoir for joy.

The days are getting longer, and that’s a little boost of motivation in itself.

Whatever 2026 has for you on the horizon, I hope you don’t give up on your goals. Fall in love with the process and play your way through the waves of life.

My bikinis always stay in place and hold up to any adventure I throw their way. I’m happily suited for adventure.

Strong female athletes don’t burn themselves into the ground to prove they’re committed.

They train with intention.
They fuel their bodies.
They respect recovery.

Consistency isn’t built on motivation—it’s built on systems, habits, and self-trust.

If you’ve ever felt like you needed to “do more” to be a real athlete, this is your reminder:
👉 smart training is hard training.

Save this for the days you feel behind.
You’re probably doing more right than you think.

The GnarlyGirl Story

My heart for serving others had me in my third (clinical) year of nursing school. On the med/surg floor I was tasked with taking care of patients that were recovering from coming out of the operating room. I was shocked that most of the patients on that floor had gone through surgery because of a complication they had acquired from a preventable disease like type II diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and obesity.

What was even more shocking was the lack of education the medical staff had in regards to nutrition and exercise. Even if they did have the knowledge to educate patients on healthy eating and exercise, they were so understaffed that they wouldn’t have the time anyway. Sadly the patients would leave the hospital only to return again.

That’s when I began searching for careers in prevention. I first toured ASU for their dietetic program in their College of Health Solutions, and ran across something called Healthy Lifestyles Coaching. Since I had never heard of this major, or careers involving it, I became curious.
