Thundermaker Wellness Center is officially open! We are currently inviting native males who are seeking support with addiction recovery and mental health.

Our program is unlike anything else. We are 100% indigenous led. Our curriculum is rooted in native traditions including language, ceremony and food sovereignty while blending evidence based therapies, trauma informed care, vocational rehabilitation and life skills.

We have created this program because we know our culture works. It’s designed by and for our people. It’s not just recovery, it is reclamation, it is ceremony, it is community.

You don’t have to do this alone. Reach out to your local tribal behavioral health team for a referral or email us directly at admin@thundermakerwellness.com

Artist Spotlight: Anna Ochoa

Anna Ochoa is a Samala Chumash (Santa Ynez Chumash) descendant, beadworker, and artist. Her work draws inspiration from nature, pop culture, Chumash cultural histpry, and traditional art practices. She is deeply passionate about art, wellness, plant medicines, food as medicine, and cultural revival.

For Anna, art is a grounding practice, a place she can retum to no matter what life brings.
She loves weaving together traditional and contemporary designs, exploring how ancestral knowledge can continue to thrive and adapt to the modern world.

Today, we’re honored to showcase Anna’s powerful art piece, “Sacred Plants” as part of our healing journey at Thundermaker Wellness Center.

Had a wonderful day filled with lots of ceremony, singing, presenters, boost, and great people doing great work for Indigenous people!
