Presque Isle Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with an addiction to prescription painkillers, heroin, or other opioids. Located in Presque Isle, Maine, the commercial center and largest city in Aroostook County, Presque Isle Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient opioid addiction treatment. Presque Isle CTC uses medication-assisted treatment (MAT), an evidence-based, research-backed method that combines the use of medication with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat addiction. Patients who are struggling with opioid use disorder receive individualized treatment plans that include individual and group counseling sessions along with the use of either methadone or buprenorphine. Years of research indicates that both medications are safe and effective for short- and long-term use on the road to recovery. Patients also participate in individual and group therapy led by certified drug and alcohol counselors.
