Olmsted Medical Center’s Active Aging Services (AAS) program is dedicated to providing age-friendly health care and mental health care to residents and their support in southeastern Minnesota. We are also able to connect adults age 55+ with the resources, referrals, and guidance they need—whether it’s navigating healthcare or mental health services, or accessing educational programs that support healthy aging. Our experienced team is here for patients, their families, caregivers, and community partners, offering compassionate support every step of the way. We offer:

✅ Falls prevention programs
✅ Memory & brain health consultations
✅ Geriatric consultations
✅ Palliative care (clinic-based)
✅ Advance healthcare directives
✅ Evidence-based programs & care navigation

📣Dr. Beeson is now accepting patients at our Cannon Falls clinic!📣

Meet Matthew Beeson, MD, family medicine physician at Olmsted Medical Center's Cannon Falls clinic. Dr. Beeson provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. He offers a wide range of services, with a special focus on chronic pain, geriatric care, and the treatment of substance use disorders.

Dr. Beeson says, "Being in a rural community, I think it's important to offer as broad of scope as possible. I've wanted to be a physician since I was very young, and I was drawn to it to help people in need. I like to foster an atmosphere where patients feel safe to tell me everything that they're concerned about and is a factor in their healthcare."

Outside of work, Dr. Beeson enjoys staying active outdoors and is an avid mountain biker and hiker.

Starting August 4, the intersection of Fourth Street SE/Collegeview Road and 19th Avenue SE will be closed for construction through November. If you're heading to OMC Hospital or the Women’s Health Pavilion, you may need to take a detour.

➡️ East Circle Drive → Hwy 14 → 15th Avenue SE (by Cub Foods)
➡️ Turn right on Fourth Street SE to reach OMC

✅Patient parking is still open – just follow the detour
✅Watch for pedestrians and yield to ambulances
✅Hospital and BirthCenter entrances will remain open
✅Some entrances from 19th Avenue SE may close temporarily
