Mountain Comprehensive Care Center and MCCC's HomePlace Clinic are proud to celebrate Dr. Seema Sachdeva of the HomePlace Clinic for Children & Families in Pikeville, Kentucky!
Dr. Seema Sachdeva, M.D., FAAP, was honored as this year’s John A. Strosnider, D.O., Memorial Lecturer at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM) Founders Dinner. This prestigious recognition highlights her decades of service as a physician, educator, and advocate for children across Eastern Kentucky.
A board-certified pediatrician with specialized training in pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Sachdeva has cared for children and families in the mountains for more than 30 years. As the founding vice-chair of KYCOM’s Division of Pediatrics and a clinical professor of pediatrics, she has shaped the education of future physicians while providing compassionate, expert care.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Sachdeva’s impact extends deep into the community. She has been recognized as a CDC Childhood Immunization Champion, Child Abuse Prevention Advocate of the Year, and co-founder of the Empowering Girls of Appalachia initiative, helping to uplift and strengthen families throughout the region.
We are grateful to KYCOM for honoring Dr. Seema Sachdeva and shining a light on the extraordinary difference she continues to make in the lives of children, families, and communities across Central Appalachia.
