The role of recognition in developing security of self and a healthy self-concept. Silence is loud- those things that go unsaid and done are equally as impactful as words spoken and actions taken. The absence of healthy recognition leaves a void where our inherent value has yet to be recognized.

Every triggering episode is an opportunity to heal. Healing is only possible by making space for the presence of PTSD and its accompanying emotions (Their physiological sensations). Practicing acceptance and self care when those trauma responses are activated instead of avoidance and fighting against our bodies natural healing process.
