🚨 Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Alert from Frontier Medical Associates 🚨

We want to ensure our community stays informed and protected. Pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, has been circulating in our area. Please be aware of the symptoms and seek medical care if you or your child become ill.

Common Symptoms of Pertussis Include:
• Persistent cough lasting more than 1–2 weeks
• Severe coughing fits
• “Whooping” sound when breathing in after a coughing episode
• Vomiting after coughing
• Low-grade fever
• Fatigue or difficulty breathing, especially in infants

Pertussis can be serious—especially for babies, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent complications and reduce spread.
