We are excited to announce that we are now offering Occupational Therapy (OT) services!!

Darian Wilks grew up in Price and worked here as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a variety of settings for a few years. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with her Master's in Occupational Therapy and has moved back to the area with her husband, Calvin, and 2-year-old daughter, Cassie. She is excited to serve Price and Emery counties by utilizing her OT and PTA skills to help people return to the things that give their lives the most meaning after injury or illness.

She is accepting new patients and can see a large variety of conditions including upper extremity orthopedic or nerve injuries, brain injuries, strokes, chronic conditions, and more. If you feel like you could benefit from OT services, talk to your physician about a referral!

“Plantar fasciitis” typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel. The pain is usually worst within the first few steps after awakening, and weight bearing although it can also be triggered by extended periods of standing or when you get up after sitting. The pain is usually worse after exercise, not during it.

Your plantar fascia is in the shape of a bowstring, supporting one of the arches of your foot that absorbs shock when you walk. If tension and stress on this bowstring become too great, small tears can occur in the fascia. Repeated stretching and tearing can irritate or inflame the fascia causing significant pain and dysfunction.

Plantar Fasciitis can be a difficult condition to treat. We’ve had great success in treating this condition at ProRehab teaching patients the cause, how to reduce inflammation and how to prevent it in the future. Call 435 613-1500 for an appointment in your first “step” 🤣 in treating this condition.

ProRehab would like to let our community know about some of the different services we offer and the diagnosis we can successfully treat. A safe and effective treatment approach through therapy is just a phone call away.

Sub Occipital neuralgia is a condition in which the occipital nerves that runs through the scalp become injured or inflamed. This causes headaches that can feel like a severe piercing, throbbing or shock-like pain in the upper neck, back of the head or behind the ears.

We have had a tremendous amount of success treating conditions like this. Give us a call or see your doctor for a referral to ProRehab and let us help eliminate your pain.
