A Life Lost Too Soon 💔
The tragic passing of Kim Sae-ron is absolutely heartbreaking. She was only 24. Just like so many South Korean celebrities before her, she carried the weight of public scrutiny, unforgiving expectations, and a culture that often makes seeking help feel impossible.
South Korea has the highest su***de rate in the world. That is not just a statistic—it’s a crisis. A crisis that keeps repeating itself. How many more young lives have to be lost before we start truly listening? Before we stop shaming people for their struggles and start making real changes?
This didn’t have to happen. It shouldn’t have happened. If mental health care were more accessible, if seeking therapy wasn’t stigmatized, if people felt safe asking for help—so many lives could be saved.
As an employee of a mental health practice, I see firsthand how urgent this is. If you are struggling, please, please get help now. You don’t have to do this alone. There are people who care, people who want to help, and people who will listen without judgment.
No one should have to suffer in silence. No one should feel like their mistakes define them forever. No one should feel like their only option is to disappear.
To anyone struggling: You matter. You are not alone. You deserve help, love, and support. Please reach out to someone you trust. Please hold on. And to the rest of us—let’s do better. Let’s check on our loved ones, push for change, and never stop fighting to make mental health a priority.
Rest in peace, Kim Sae-ron. You should still be here. 💔
If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek help. In the U.S., call or text 988 for immediate support. You are not alone.
