All volunteers, there is a meeting to prepare for camp on August 14 at 6:00pm at the group home. An hour of your time to make sure we are all tracking in the same direction as we get ready. And some updates on good things that have happened.

The fishing trip is right around the corner for our group. If you want to go and haven’t signed up, please reach out to your counselors and let one of them know. It’s this Saturday, June 17th. Leaving the group home at 9:00 am.

Counselors, make sure you let Michelle know if a person you work with is going.

Mr. James Eddie Shipmon, Jr. (Jimmy) departed this life on May 23, 2023 at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center, Richmond. Jimmy's sense of humor, and kindness will be remembered by all of the "Super Kids" and counselors who knew him.

Jimmy loved the, Jesus Loves Me song, that was sung every week in Sunday School Class. If you are a fellow "Super Kid" and are going to the service Mrs. Shipman would like us to sing that song.

I was there this morning to see the very first clients brought to the house for day support. It was exciting just to watch them go in. I know they will receive the kind of love and support we would want them to have. May God work many many miracles in the house that so many prayed for.

Super Kids Sunday is May 7th. We will be visiting Destination Church at the crossings center in Hopewell at 9:00 am - 5258 Oaklawn Blvd.

Post here if you are going so we can give the church a head count. We have about 10 counselors going right now. Kids??? Let us know here or give your favorite counselor a call.

This is an opportunity to meet new people and share the love and joy of Super Kids.

Outreach Training and Support Open House is today. It looks great! Set up perfectly for wheel chairs, lots of space to move around freely, activities, a snack machine. I’m just sitting here smiling. Our community will be well served by this opportunity.
