*Long & Vulnerable Post*

I didn’t deal with hormonal acne as a teenager. Besides a breakout here and there I didn’t get acne until I was an adult. Acne was never a problem I thought I would have especially as a newly licensed esthetician. I didn’t even take pictures at its worst because I was so embarrassed. I would get painful cystic acne on my cheeks, jawline, and neck. If you even looked at my skin wrong it would scar. Not only was it painful, but it wrecked my self confidence.

I wouldn’t leave the house without covering my acne. And even then I felt like everyone was just staring at it. Before I got acne my biggest focus was age management. After a lot of learning and trial & error with my own skin I was able to clear my skin. I haven’t had a major breakout like those since the end of 2023. Even with me getting pregnant at the beginning of 2024 I’ve reduced the appearance of my acne scars with products 100% safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. My skin is not perfect, but it has come a long way. I can truly say I’m confident in my skin again. I can leave the house without makeup. I don’t feel the need to cover up and hide myself.

Anyone who has struggled with skin problems and lack of confidence due to their skin- you are seen, you are heard, you are loved, and you are most definitely NOT alone! There is a light at the end of the tunnel though and I would love to help you feel confident in your skin again. Acne can be complex and it’s not an overnight process.
