Let’s learn more about Taoism and the self-protective response!
🌿 The Tao of Trauma 2025–26 is open for registration! 🌿

This 5-session, in-person training blends Chinese Medicine’s Five Elements, Somatic Experiencing®, and PolyVagal Theory into a powerful, body-based approach to trauma healing.

🌀 The Five Elements offer a map for understanding how our bodies respond to trauma — and how healing can unfold when we work in rhythm with nature:

🔹 Metal – Awakens arousal.
Metal cultivates embodied awareness and helps us sense what’s happening — both within and around us.

🔹 Water – Signals threat.
Water helps us distinguish safety from danger. It governs fear and the deep instinct to survive.

🔹 Wood – Orients and mobilizes.
Wood directs our awareness toward threat and helps us take action that’s appropriate to the level of danger.

🔹 Fire – Restores coherence.
Fire helps us communicate both danger and equanimity. It reconnects us to joy, presence, and social engagement.

🔹 Earth – Digests the gristle.
Earth allows us to metabolize our experiences, harvesting meaning and growth rather than contraction.
