Today on Veterans Day, Deaconess Gibson Hospital proudly hosted a special lunch to celebrate and thank our local veterans. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication inspire us every day, and we are honored to serve those who have served our country.

At Deaconess we have hundreds of incredible Nurse Practitioners (NPs) across three states who play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care, compassion, and expertise to our patients and communities every day. NPs play a vital role across our system, supporting health, healing, and hope wherever they serve.

The amazing individuals featured here represent just a fraction of our outstanding Nurse Practitioners across Deaconess. We’re grateful for each and every one of you and the difference you make through your dedication, leadership, and heart.

Yesterday, 23 of our students took an industry visit to Deaconess Gibson Hospital in Princeton.

Our students listened to presentations from multiple departments including Management, Finance, Maintenance, Police Force, Med Surgery, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Emergency, IT, Lab, Respiratory, Wound Center, Dietetics, Infusion, Compliance, and a few others.

Students learned about the education and training it takes to acquire the degrees and licenses to practice in the many different areas discussed above. At the end of our visit the students were able to tour the facility.

Thank you to the staff at Deaconess for giving our students the opportunity to visit and a special thank you to Stephanie Bishop, Shane Hayes, and Keith Miller for organizing. We look forward to future visits!
