Zeke update:
Well Laura and Zeke are off for his next treatment. He is supposed to have one today and next Tuesday and these are usually the 5 day stays to clear it from his system afterwards.

Mouth sores are common with this treatment, last time they were avoided- and we pray that will be the case again.

I could tell Zeke was tired this morning as they were leaving, but I could also sense the dread of returning to the hospital for a treatment and a longer stay. 😔 You come to terms that this is happening and that there is no way to take it away or take it on for Him, but never gets easier and you have to accept it again…

BUT… We are thankful for the times inbetween, times we can call almost normal or at least better. He had his buddy over for the entire weekend and I think they had a good time.

I spent most of my bday in the hospital this year and Laura gets to do the same… make sure to wish her a Happy bday on Friday the 13th 😉 🎂 🎈 🎉
Pray against mouth sores, for times of peace and joy in the mess, that cancer dies, for good perspective, and little smiles throughout the fight.

Zeke update:
He’s been home for about 10 days after his last treatment. We’ve had some nausea and appetite struggles, but getting through it. His blood count numbers were checked 3 days ago and they were concerning/compromised…
We have been aware and careful trying to avoid all the sicknesses going around. Even avoiding some gatherings with friends which feels like a necessary sacrifice.
Tonight Zeke has a mild fever. Please pray that it doesn’t rise. We have to get to hospital within an hour if his temp reaches 101.
His blood counts could still be dropping for the next couple days, we are hoping when they get checked again this coming Tuesday they will show improvement. A week after that we are scheduled to do his next treatment.
As always thanks everyone for your support, every small thing matters and makes a difference. This cancer stuff is heavy. Your help matters, and though we have to give this a good amount of attention…we are grateful for reminders that life is still going and that love makes life better.e ae

UPDATE: Thanks to those who have purchased tickets for our raffle to support Zeke and his family.
Here Is an update from his dad!

Zeke update:
Sorry it’s been so long, things have been a little crazy and haven’t went smooth.
He had a treatment last Tuesday and was due for his next yesterday, but do to his body taking longer to clear the meds it is getting pushed back. His numbers were very close this morning but looks like he needs one more day. So assuming it clears tomorrow he will have a little time off fluids, get some things checked out and then proceed with next treatment. Laura has been at the hospital over a week. I got to go from Thursday-Sunday.

Zeke has felt pretty good since Sunday and ate fairly normal. He was able to get a ps5 and see some of the dogs they bring to the hospital. His online school started back and I believe he is keeping up with it.

A huge praise and blessing is during this visit he has been able to walk not only fairly normal again but with little to no pain 😊 I’m sure it’s highly due to his biopsy healing, but also believing it’s the cancer dieing and the pressure relief in his knee area.

Continue to pray for Zeke during treatment with eating and drinking. That his body will bounce back as quick as it can. Pray mama doesn’t get wore out and will take breaks as needed. Pray for the rest of the family too dealing with absences and messed up routines. Thanks to everyone who has continued to help with support, rides, food etc.

They are spending many days and nights there during treatments.
