This month, we’ve talked about caring for your mind, building healthy coping tools, and the importance of connection. We’ve shared that mental health and substance use are often part of the same story—and that healing happens with whole-person, compassionate care.

We’ve also taken time to recognize the reality of anxiety and depression, and offered simple, supportive ways to navigate hard days—because mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all.

As we move beyond May, here’s what we’re holding onto:
✨ Small steps matter
✨ Support makes a difference
✨ You are not alone
Be kind to your mind—every day, not just this month.

If you’re struggling, reaching out is strength. And if you’re supporting someone else, your presence matters more than you know. Let’s keep showing up—for ourselves and each other. If you need a place to start, this is your reminder:

Stronger Together in the Journey of Recovery 🧡
We believe healing happens best in community—and we’re grateful to see that lived out through the Celebrate Recovery® program at Crossbridge Community Church in Ottawa.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor. 🇺🇸

We are deeply grateful for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the freedoms we hold today. May we carry their courage, sacrifice, and memory with us—not just today, but every day.

In observance of Memorial Day, our Arukah locations in Princeton and Ottawa will be closed as we take time to reflect and honor. Wishing you a safe and meaningful day with loved ones. ❤️

Red, White & Blue—and Running ❤️🤍💙

Every step, every splash of color helps support the WORTH Program, empowering rural teens with tools for mental health, resilience, and the prevention of substance use. Through creative outlets like video and podcasting, teens are reminded of their value—and given a voice that matters. Because every teen has worth. Every story deserves to be heard.

Join us as we celebrate freedom, connection, and hope for the next generation.

Summer has a way of shifting routines. School schedules change, mornings feel different, weekends fill up faster, and many of us start looking for small ways to feel more grounded in the middle of it all.

Starting Monday, June 1, we are welcoming in a refreshed summer schedule at Arukah with updated class times, new offerings, and the return of community favorites.

Foundational Flow moves into an early morning schedule this summer, creating space to begin the day with movement, breath, strength, and intention before the rest of life starts moving around you.

This season also brings the addition of Pilates Foundations, a supportive class centered around core strength, posture, alignment, and intentional movement.

We are excited to welcome Chair Yoga to the schedule as well, offering an approachable and accessible practice designed to support mobility, flexibility, balance, and connection for all bodies and experience levels.

Slow Flow continues on Wednesday evenings, creating space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect midweek.

And Saturday mornings, Yoga at the Market returns for another season of movement, fresh air, community, and mindful flow.

Whether you are looking to build strength, create consistency, support your nervous system, reconnect with movement, or simply carve out time for yourself this summer, we would love to move with you.

Asking for Help Is Strength. You were never meant to carry everything on your own. Life gets heavy sometimes—and although we try to hold it all together, the truth is: we weren’t designed to do this alone. Reaching out isn’t weakness—it’s courage. It’s choosing connection over isolation.

Whether it’s a friend, a trusted voice, a pastor, or a mental health professional, opening up is a step toward healing, not away from it. There are people who care. There are safe spaces for honesty. And there is support available to meet you right where you are.

At Arukah, our mental health therapists are here to walk alongside you—with compassion, understanding, and hope for your healing journey. If you need a place to start, this is your reminder:

You don’t have to do this alone.

We’re incredibly honored to receive a $5,000 grant from Run Today for Tomorrow in support of our Therapeutic Mentoring Initiative through Pathways to Success.

This investment helps us continue walking alongside youth and families—building connection, strengthening resilience, and creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and never alone. We’re deeply grateful to stand alongside partners who believe that connection truly changes everything.

The need for accessible, responsive, and relationship centered su***de prevention services in our community is both urgent and growing. Through the Pathways to Success program, Arukah Institute of Healing has demonstrated the effectiveness of a coordinated, evidence informed approach that prioritizes empathetic connection, continuity, and rapid response. Investment in Pathways to Success program will directly expand our capacity to serve high risk youth, reduce preventable crises, and strengthen protective factors that support long-term wellbeing. We are committed to ensuring that every youth we serve has access to the meaningful care, support, and stability necessary to thrive.
