Shannon Miller, born on March 31, 1975, in Crittenden County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the home of her son in Iowa.

She is survived by her daughters, Amber Clendening and Ashlynn Miller; her sons, James Ryan Miller and Chayton Miller; her sister, Shannan Harris; her brother, Billy Joe Martin, III; her step-father, Billy Joe Martin, Jr.; her fourteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Shannon’s children and grandchildren gave her much joy as they were a big part of her life.

Shannon enjoyed sewing and found happiness in creating and sharing time with friends and family. Her life was made happier by the companionship of her beloved dogs, Karma and G.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Miller Jr., and mother, Leda Bates Martin, maternal grandparents, Ray and Ruth Bates, and her fraternal grandparents, James and Sue Miller.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and a circle of friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.

Larry Dale Carner, 55, of Fredonia, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

Larry was born on July 11, 1970, in Princeton, Kentucky, to Jim and Rose Carner. He is survived by his caring and loving parents, Jim and Rose Carner; his sisters, Dina (Chuck) Byers and Joni (Randy) Phelps; his nieces, Emily Barrett and Ainsley Byers; his nephews, Zachary (Alaina) Barrett, Justin Phelps, and Mason Byers; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Louise Jackson Smith; paternal grandparents, J.B. and Lois Babb Carner; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Larry grew up attending White Sulphur Baptist Church and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. He believed in hard work and had a deep love for the outdoors. From a young age, he developed a strong work ethic while helping in the family to***co patch, and he continued working for local farmers throughout his life. Larry took pride in an honest day’s work and carried that dedication into every job he held, including positions at the University of Kentucky Research Center, Fredonia Rock Quarry, and Jim Smith Construction.

An avid outdoorsman, Larry found his greatest joy in nature. He loved c**n hunting, deer hunting, and turkey hunting, spending countless early mornings and late nights in the woods. He was especially fond of fishing, whether jug fishing on the river late at night or casting a line in country ponds with family and friends. Those moments, filled with laughter and storytelling, were among his most cherished.

Larry lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need-often giving the shirt off his back without hesitation. Above all, he deeply loved his family and friends, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Faughn and Teddy Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Jane Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Dorothy Ruth (Martin) Conway, 86, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on July 2, 1939, in Hickman County, Kentucky, to her late parents, Archie Porter Martin and Dorothy Lee Martin. Dorothy graduated from Clinton High School in Hickman County in 1957 before moving to Paducah, where she earned her associate’s degree in business. She dedicated many years to preparing taxes for H&R Block in Princeton and later became the owner of the local office. In her later years, she faithfully served others as a compassionate caregiver in home healthcare. A devoted member of Fredonia First Baptist Church, Dorothy taught Sunday school, played the piano, and occasionally shared special music during worship. She also served her church as secretary for many years and was an active member of WMU.

Dorothy Ruth is survived by her three sons, Todd (Debbie) Conway of Smiths Grove, Tim (Kelly) Conway of Fredonia, Tony (Beth) Conway of Fredonia; brother, Harold Wayne Martin of South Fulton, TN; six grandchildren, Aaron (Caroline) Conway of Hampton, VA, Alex Conway of Chicago, IL, Brandon (Kayla) Conway of Fredonia, Lindsey (Cordale) Patterson of Princeton, Kaitlyn (Justin) Wood of Dawson Springs, Shelby (Will) Miller of Fredonia; nine great-grandchildren, Ella, Robby, Aria and Daemon Conway, Clay and Layten Patterson, Tate Wood, Lucas and Sawyer Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Henry Conway; daughter, Sara Beth Conway; brother, Jerald Martin.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Fredonia First Baptist Church with Bro. David Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Church Cemetery in Lyon County.

Jackie Guill, 84, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home.

He was born on January 6, 1942, in Princeton, Kentucky, to his late parents, Marshall Johnson Guill and Bertha Guill. Jackie was a dedicated and hardworking man whose life reflected service, faith, and generosity. After proudly serving 10½ years in the United States Army, he continued his commitment to others through his work as an auto mechanic at the Kentucky State Penitentiary, where he was known for his skill and reliability. A faithful member of Greenhill Baptist Church in Princeton, Jackie lived out his beliefs daily and often shared the wisdom that guided his life: “you have to know, that you know, where you are going.” He will be remembered as someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, always willing to do anything for anyone, and whose kindness and steady presence made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Jackie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Lee (Sheriden) Guill; three daughters, Jacqueline "Lara" (Johnny) Ladd of Princeton, Megan Jo (Pablo) Morales of Princeton, Katherine Lee (Brad Bowers) Guill of Eddyville; son, Ira Wade Guill of Princeton; one sister, Janie Fraliex of Princeton; two brothers, Michael Guill of Princeton, James "Jimmy" Guill of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Ethan Morales, Jeremiah Morales, Cameron Bowers, Zoe Bowers, Daisy Bowers, Calleigh Mae Guill, Elizabeth Guill.

Steven C. Jones passed away on March 31, 2026, at Baptist Health Madisonville in Kentucky.

Born on March 23, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, He loved Vicky with all of his heart and it showed in many ways. Steven carried with him throughout his life the strength, resilience, and determination that shaped his character from an early age. He was a man who believed in doing things the right way, and those who knew him came to appreciate his honesty, his dependable nature, and the quiet dignity with which he lived each day. He was loving, friendly, and handy, and these qualities were reflected in the way he treated others and in the way he approached every task before him.

Steven was a loving and caring husband whose presence brought comfort, stability, and warmth to those closest to him. He valued companionship, loyalty, and the simple but meaningful acts that make a life together strong. His devotion to his role as a husband was evident in the patience, respect, and affection he showed throughout his life. He was also a brother who could be counted on, offering support, encouragement, and a steady hand whenever it was needed.

In his working life, Steven was a dedicated driver for JB Hunt, where he earned respect through his reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic. He understood the importance of responsibility and took pride in meeting each day with purpose. He was also the owner of Express Taxi, a role that reflected both his entrepreneurial spirit and his willingness to serve others. Steven was very resourceful and had a practical mind that allowed him to solve problems with calm confidence. He was a man of integrity, and his actions consistently reflected the values he held.

Steven is survived by his wife, Vicky Jones of Princeton Ky: Three brothers, Joseph Jones of Saint Paul Minnesota, Robert Jones (Chris) of Chicago Illinois, and Charles Jones (Shay) of Shepherdsville KY.

Peggy Doris Bates Mitchell, age 92, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at her home.

Peggy was born November 30, 1933 to the late Orville and Mary Belle McCormick Bates. She was a devoted member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as the church pianist, sharing her love of music with all who gathered. Peggy spent many years as a store manager for JCPenney, where she was known for her strong work ethic and leadership. Following her retirement, she embraced life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing alongside her husband and enjoying time on the tennis court. She was affectionately known as the “Queen of Shuffleboard” at the Caldwell County Senior Citizens Center, where she spent countless days playing cards and building lasting friendships.

Peggy is survived by her adored daughter, Melanie Murphy of Louisville; many cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Elliott Mitchell and son-in-law, John Murphy of Louisville.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Michael "Shane" Board, 55, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his home.

He was born on June 24, 1970, in Princeton, Kentucky, to his parents, Mike and Sharon Faye Board. Shane lived a life marked by hard work, faith, and a genuine love for people. Known for his quick wit and easy humor, Shane brought laughter wherever he went and could lighten any room. He dedicated nearly a decade to CC Metals and Alloys in Calvert City before working as a bricklayer and in various construction roles. Around 2010, he surrendered to preach, becoming ordained in 2013. He served as pastor of Lewistown Christian Church and later Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church, where he shared his love of God with anyone willing to listen. Over the years, he also spent time working on a cattle farm and, for the last six years, found joy as a hunting guide for quail and pheasant at Winghaven Lodge in Providence.

A proud graduate of Caldwell County High School’s Class of 1988, Shane was a standout baseball player whose passion for the game carried into many years of coaching, including with Lyon County High School, Lyon County Middle School, the Tri-County Titans, and the Post 68 American Legion team. He was known for his athleticism and cherished many years on the field, playing softball with the P-Town Boys for over two decades, building friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. Shane loved the outdoors, especially golf and fishing, and he was a devoted fan of the University of Kentucky and the Atlanta Braves. Shane also participated in the Emmaus Walk multiple times, reflecting his deep and enduring faith. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs, especially his beloved Gizmo, but above all else, Shane’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was the love he had for his two children.

Shane is survived by his daughter, Shayann Board (Bryant) Millikan of Nashville; son, Gabe Board of Bowling Green; brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Board of Princeton; niece, Tori (Bill) Schroeder of Reidland; nephew, Gavin Board of Murray; great-niece, Blair; great-nephew, Brooks; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert "Mike" Board and Sharon Faye (Tosh) Board.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. David Brown and Bro. Mike Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in White Sulphur Cemetery.

IN LOVING MEMORY

James Gray, age 67, of Princeton, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

He was a member of Bainbridge Grove and found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. James loved building things and took pride in creating with his hands. He was a self-employed carpenter. He especially treasured time spent with his family, and happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved most, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

James is survived by his daughter, Rachel Gray, and his son, Scotty, both of Princeton. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Martin; his brothers, Mike Gray and his wife, Regina, Ricky Gray, and Johnny Gray all of Princeton; his grandchildren, Haley and wife, Megan Zahnd, Sara Daugherty, A.J. Daugherty and wife, Becca, Braden Daugherty, Hadley Gray, and Ryker Gray; and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Bush, Kamden Bush, Cash Daugherty, Harper Zahnd, and Dakota Zahnd. He also leaves behind a very special best friend forever, Ladina Gray, along with several nieces and nephews. Others special to him were Kristi Rozwalka, Tilleigh and Taylynn Vilt, who called him Papaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Leola Gilkey Gray, and by his brothers, William Gray and Eddie Gray.

James will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for hard work, and the many ways he showed care for those around him. He lives on in the family he loved so deeply and in the memories shared by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home.

She was born on May 20, 1972, in Princeton, Kentucky, to her late parents, Walter Euin and Christielou (Nabb) Jones. Her family will remember her as a loving and kind soul. She had a vibrant spirit, a true rocker at heart who found joy in music and loved sci-fi movies. Carrie was a dedicated and hardworking woman who gave her all to provide for her children, always putting her family first. She cherished her grandkids deeply and took every opportunity to be part of their lives. She used to enjoy running, caring for her house plants, and watching cardinals.

Carrie is survived by her daughter, Samantha Turner of Princeton; two sons, Clayton (Savannaha) Adams and Bradley (Brooke) Adams, both of Princeton; two step-daughter, Nadya Hutchinson of Princeton, Moriah Cherry of North Carolina; two sisters, Tammy Renee (Terry) Cummins of Trinity, TX, Amanda (Richard "Rich") Young-Jones of Connecticut; six grandchildren, Hazelle Winn, Christian Adams, Charleigh Turner, Mazy Adamson, Rhys Adams, Jasper Adamson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Jones.

Ronnie Woolf, Jr., 61, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1965, Ronnie was known for his love of the outdoors and his dedication to his work as a delivery driver for AutoZone in Gilbertsville.

Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing. He especially cherished the time he spent fishing with his buddy and grandson, Noah Woolf.

He is survived by his son, Kyle (Ashley) Woolf of Sharpe, Kentucky, and his beloved grandson, Noah Woolf.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie Woolf, Sr. and Betty Jean Woolf.

Robert "Robbie" Stewart, 59, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at his home.

He was born on July 18, 1966, in Princeton, Kentucky, to his late parents, James Everette and Betty Jean Bealmear Stewart. Robbie was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church and a lifelong supporter of UK basketball. He worked alongside his father on the farm for many years.

Robbie is survived by his two sisters, Angela Dee Milton of Princeton, Mindy (Bryan) Morgan of Jesup, GA; brother, Steven Stewart of Fredonia; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Stewart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Memorial Gardens.

Janie Sue Adams, passed away at the age of 69 on March 22, 2026, at Rivers Bend Retirement Community. Born in Princeton, Kentucky, on August 23, 1956, to her late parents, Donald Ray and Margaret Jane P'Poole Adams.

Janie grew up in a nurturing family. She was known for her loving nature, which was evident in the close bonds she shared with her siblings-Linda Hart of Paducah, KY, Vicki Fuller Smiley and husband Glen of Princeton, KY, and Robert Adams and wife Gena of Owasso, OK.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Ray Adams, Jr.

A self-taught artist, Janie had a talent for capturing the beauty of the world around her on canvas. Janie was kind and loving and extended this love to her nieces and nephews, Susan Hart, Shannon Hart, Brian Fuller and wife Christy, Amy Whitaker and husband Jon, and Zachary, Jordyn, Jacob, and Jackson Adams, great nieces Ainsley Whitaker, and great nephew Garrett Whitaker.

In 1974, Janie graduated from Caldwell County High School. She was a member of the Blue Spring Baptist Church, but was unable to attend because of her limited mobility. Janie was faithfully present for all services at Rivers Bend, including Sunday School, Bible Study, and special music services from the community churches. She also served as a resident council member for Rivers Bend.

Janie reflected the power of love and demonstrated her resilience, determination, and courage through a life of adversity. To all who knew her, she enriched their lives with her warm smile and compassion. The beautiful artwork she left behind and the impact she had on her family and friends will always be remembered. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her, yet her spirit remains alive in our hearts forever. Janie's life reminds us all to embrace every moment with love, to nurture our talents, and to treasure the bonds of family and friendship.
