Even as a women’s trauma therapist and transformational coach…I wasn’t “prepared” for the emotional rollercoaster of this complex season of life .

🩵The profound grief mixed with the immense excitement of watching my children launch and explore …and seeing empty bedrooms ❤️‍🩹

it’s a real mind F #!k! 😂

🩵It’s what the goal is/was all along (roots/wings right ? ) and then emotions comes in like a tidal wave ! 🌊

But the term “empty nest syndrome”?

😡In my opinion , it is not only pathologizing but DEPRESSING and simply UNTRUE.

🪺Thus…THE OPEN NEST PROJECT is born!

🪺A guided community of women leaning into all the parts of our selves…

🩵YOUR LIFE ISN’T EMPTY IT’S OPEN!

🩵More details about The Open Nest Project- a space for women like me (and you ) to explore the themes of identity related to motherhood …

To become curious about who we are during these transitions and shifts (*pssst…you are always a mom)
🪺To give a space, connection and compassion ) and real life tools to rediscover , reimagine …to both grieve and to dream and look to the future together !

🪺I’ll be sharing more details in the upcoming weeks …

If this feels close to your heart, stay tuned 💛

💛While we aren’t launching YET…feel free to comment “Open” if you want the details when we open our “doors” to all the mamas !!

Coming FALL OF 2025!

Andrea Gibson…such poignant words.

A month before her passing in 2017, Louise L. Hay wrote something that still resonates deeply:

“I’ll be turning 90 this Saturday. My younger years were filled with fear, but now my days are filled with trust and confidence.

My life didn’t really start to make sense until my mid-40s. At 50, I began writing—on a very small scale. My first year, I earned just \$42. At 55, I ventured into the world of computers, which terrified me, but I took classes and overcame my fears. Today, I own three computers and travel everywhere with my iPad and iPhone. At 60, I planted my first garden. Around that time, I joined kids’ art classes and started painting. In my 70s and 80s, I became even more creative, and my life just kept getting richer and more fulfilling.

I still write, give talks, and teach by example. I’m always reading, learning, and growing. I run a successful publishing company and two nonprofits. I’m an avid organic gardener and grow most of my own food. I love people and parties, have many loving friends, and have traveled the world. I still paint and take classes. My life has become a treasure trove of experiences.

I want to encourage you to consciously shape your later years and realize that they can be the most rewarding chapter of your life. Your future is always bright, no matter your age. Let these years become your treasure years.”

With love,
Louise Hay

Reach out to learn more about how to help support and honor your nervous system...this is NOT about your personality...this is about your system understandably STUCK in a threat response cycle! I help people decrease that negative/critical voice and tune into their biology to offer compassion, grace and understanding of why we "do what we do" and "feel what we feel"! Be gentle with yourselves!

I hear you AND I believe you'...so important in the process of healing.

I hear you AND I believe you'...so important in the process of healing.

When we’re heard without judgment – without shock or horror – something shifts inside. I’ve seen over and over that saying, “I hear you, and I believe you,” can be deeply supportive. It’s not just about listening; it’s about offering a new emotional reality where safety and trust can begin to take root.

There was once a younger version of you who didn’t think they’d make it this far. Who lay awake at night wondering if things would ever get better. Who carried worry like a second skin, and doubted whether they'd ever feel light again. And yet — here you are. Still standing. Still learning. Still finding your way, even on the days that feel heavy. That younger version of you would be so proud. Not because you have it all figured out, but because you didn’t give up. Even when it felt impossible. So if today feels uncertain, remember this: your progress is real. Your resilience is remarkable. And just making it here — that matters more than you know. xoxoxo

this is one of the best and spot on pictographs of Productivity and the neurodiverse brain. Thank you NeuroWild ...well, well done! I will say this : If I have to do a task that I dread and this may be because I was a child therapist for years and readily access my imagination: but I set a timer, and create a "motivator" (Fake plot by the way) someone is stopping by in 20 minutes...and then do a game show style situation of the dreaded task. ADHD or AuDHD often overestimate the time and energy (Or abilities) it will take to complete a task. (especially one that is not "Interesting"). Adding in elements of play, imagination and the stop watch feature and knowing when the time goes off you stop (finished or not) ..I have found for myself and many clients this is very helpful. I am often in awe of how long my brain said it would take versus the time it actually took.
