• Learn from different disciplines
• PLUS: A special update from Lori Feldstein, Goals of Care Coalition of New Jersey, on the new Medicaid Palliative Care benefit.

Yesterday, Quality Institute COO Tyla Minniear joined partners at the Lifelong Strong NJ Conference to share how our health care priorities for the next Governor should be part of a future Multisector Plan on Aging.

We joined Lifelong Strong NJ because creating a Multisector Plan on Aging aligns with our mission. A coordinated, cross-sector plan will strengthen connections between health care, housing, transportation, and community supports, helping older adults live healthy, independent lives in age-friendly communities across our state.

ICYMI: 🎉 Cohort 4 TeamBirth Launches Are Complete! This year, we wrapped up launches at all Cohort 4 sites. Our Quality Institute team visited each hospital to see the creativity and momentum surrounding TeamBirth. During these launches, some sites set up hot chocolate and dessert carts to share information with the staff on the units. Others engaged staff through TeamBirth-themed activities such as escape rooms and word searches. One site incorporated its launch activities at a baby fair, where it demonstrated the TeamBirth whiteboard to new and expecting parents.

Let’s hear it for the incredible teams at:
■ Penn Medicine Princeton Health
■ Inspira Health
■ Inspira Health
■ RWJBarnabas Trinitas Regional Medical Center
■ Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Medical Center
■ Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell

During National Midwifery Week, we recognize the essential role midwives play in delivering respectful, evidence-based care. 💙 Midwives provide person-centered, holistic health care throughout a woman’s life, including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, helping to improve outcomes. The Quality Institute continues to advance strategies that expand access to midwifery care and improve maternal and infant health outcomes in New Jersey. We thank New Jersey’s midwives for their leadership and dedication to improving care for pregnant patients and their families.
