Check out Megan's testimony!
"My Name is Megan, and I’m from Kentucky. I come from a very dysfunctional family. My innocence was stolen at a very young age. Because of this, I never knew what real love was. I always sought “love” from all the wrong people, places, and things. I got involved in drugs, and a relationship that was abusive in every way. I was kidnapped, held hostage, and sold. My lifestyle caused me to lose my kids. I was surrounded by so many people yet felt so alone. I wanted out so I tried to take my own life. I was angry at God for letting me live. I was at my rock bottom and decided to cry out to God, begging Him that if He loved me like He said he did, then He would get me out of this pit, and I would serve Him because I would know that He is real. I decided to go to church, and they told me about Teen Challenge. I did the program, but I only scratched the surface, so I quickly fell away. I came back to Teen Challenge and this time it is so different because I am putting my whole heart into all that I do. God is revealing Himself more and more to me every day. 1 John 4:16 says, “We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love that He has for us. God is love! those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them.” I can feel God’s love for me all around me. I see Him in everything I do. I am finding my voice and my identity in Him. I’m learning how to be still and not run when things get tough. The only running I will be doing from now on is running right into the arms of Jesus. I don’t know exactly what God has in store for my future right now because He knows that I will take those plans and run with them. I do know that I’m called to ministry, and I want to work with youth or children. I also want to do some sort of writing. God saved me for a reason - to do His Kingdom work.”
