My most frequently asked questions:
💆🏻♀️ How far out are you scheduling?
- It really depends on the day. Some days my schedule is booked out a week or so. Some days I have next day availability. Regardless, if you need an appointment, reach out and I will do my best to accommodate you.
💆🏻♀️ Do you have a waitlist?
-Yes! At the beginning of each week, I will start a waitlist for clients who need to be seen. You call me, I write your name and number down. If I have a late cancel or no show, I will call you.
💆🏻♀️ Are you accepting new clients?
-YES!!! I love meeting new faces and helping people.
💆🏻♀️ Can I purchase a gift certificate?
- Absolutely! I offer gift certificates online. Those are available 24/7 and can be emailed to yourself and then forwarded on or just sent directly to the recipient.
I also have gift certificates available at the shop. To grab those, we will just need to arrange a time for pick up as I am usually with clients most days.
💆🏻♀️ What do you specialize in?
- The easiest way to describe it is, relaxation massage. I practice Swedish technique. This is the most common and oldest form of massage. It is utilized in most practices.
I am also trained in several other modalities including prenatal, Lypossage, cupping and hot stone.
💆🏻♀️ Do you do “deep tissue”?
- I don’t. However, in my practice I discuss with clients what their goal is for their session and the massage is tailored to that. I also listen to the muscle. Sometimes, a lighter pressure is needed in the beginning to allow the muscle to warm up. So while I don’t provide a “no pain, no gain” type of massage, I will do my best to accommodate each individual client.
💆🏻♀️One thing that isn’t necessarily a frequent question but still an important question is why would I refuse to see you?
- When you fill out your intake form, I read it. I research any issues that you state you have. I also have a conversation with you before each appointment. Sometimes massage is not recommended at that time. Sometimes a massage will exacerbate the current issue. Sometimes I may not be sure and will need you to discuss with a medical professional.
Massage is amazing! It is healing! It is an important form of self care! Massage also provides circulation of blood, lymph and toxins. In some circumstances that might not be a good idea.
I will always be overly cautious because I want to continue to see you. My clients comfort, safety and overall wellbeing will always be top priority.
I appreciate the support and loyalty of all of my clients. Without you, I couldn’t do what I love every day.
And just a reminder, you are important! It’s time to take care of you!!
