Pink Tea for a Cause 🫖💗
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we hosted a heartfelt Pink Tea at Eden Vista Prospect Heights to show our support, raise awareness, and celebrate the strength and resilience of those affected by breast cancer.
Residents and staff came together wearing pink, enjoying tea, treats, and meaningful conversation—all in the spirit of unity and hope.
October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and emphasizing the importance of early detection and treatment. This month serves as a reminder for women, especially those aged 65 and older, to prioritize regular screenings like mammograms.
Breast cancer affects many women, and age is a key risk factor. Regular screenings can lead to early detection, which significantly improves survival rates and can offer more treatment options. Unfortunately, many older women do not participate in screenings due to misconceptions or fears about the procedure.
Let’s use this month to advocate for breast health, raise awareness about the importance of early detection, and support those impacted by breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against this disease.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event special!
