Our Hallmark House ladies enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day afternoon tea on Monday filled with sweet treats, warm conversations, and special memories. Celebrating the wonderful women who bring so much love, wisdom, and joy to our community every day. Happy Mother’s Day!

We had an incredible time attending the Senior Health Expo today! It was an honor to connect with so many seniors, caregivers, and community members while sharing valuable resources designed to support healthier, safer, and more independent living.

At the expo, we were able to provide information on available services, answer questions, and build meaningful relationships within the community. Events like these remind us how important it is to ensure seniors have access to the support and tools they need to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the organizers for hosting such a wonderful event. We look forward to continuing to serve and support our senior community!

American Stroke Association Month

Many people don’t realize the connection between stroke and memory loss.
Vascular dementia is often linked to strokes, especially those affecting the left side of the brain, which can impact reasoning, planning, judgment, memory, and communication. It happens when blood flow to the brain is reduced or blocked, causing damage to areas responsible for thinking and daily function.

What makes it especially challenging is that symptoms can look different for everyone. It all depends on where the brain was affected and how much damage occurred.

At Hallmark House, we understand that behind every diagnosis is a person and a family, learning to navigate these changes. Our team is here to support both.

Mother’s Day can bring so many emotions like gratitude, love, and sometimes even grief or change. What many don’t realize is that women are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. In fact, nearly two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer’s are women.

For many families, that means watching a mother, grandmother, or mother figure experience changes in memory, personality, or daily life.
So today, “remembering Mom” might look a little different and that’s okay.
It might be:
• Sitting together and holding her hand
• Looking through old photos
• Playing her favorite music
• Simply being present, even in the quiet moments
Because even when memories change, connection doesn’t disappear.

At Hallmark House, we’re honored to care for so many incredible women who have spent their lives caring for others. Today, we celebrate them and the families who continue to love them through every stage.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our ribbon cutting with us, especially those who have supported us throughout the last decade. Your loyalty, encouragement, and support have helped make this journey possible, and we are beyond grateful for this amazing community.

We also have to give a special shoutout to our adorable goat entertainment crew who made the celebration even more memorable and fun!

What started as a dream 10 years ago has grown into something truly special because of all of you. Thank you for celebrating with us and for being part of our story, we can’t wait to see what the next decade brings!
