Being a scenic and wildlife photographer, as well as a fire and emergency services photographer, I am always looking for products that will withstand the sometimes harsh atmosphere that we are faced with. We have a growing line of items made from re-purposed firefighter turnouts and equipment, from camera straps, dog collars, leashes & vests to laptop bags & purses. We also make a variety of specialty dog collars, leashes and working dog vests. We are avid supporters of pet rescue organizations and hope to help the cause through our sales here. A portion of every sale is donated to pet rescue.

Here's another one of our soft collars ready to go out to a pup with Megaesophagus. Dogs with ME often need to sleep with their heads elevated to prevent saliva from pooling in their esophagus, causing them to regurgitate when they lie down. By wearing one of these, it keeps their heads elevated to prevent that problem. We unfortunately learned all about this disease first hand, when our Lab Tucker was diagnosed with ME, so I am now making these to help other pups with the same disease.

Our Story

Smiling Pup Designs, For Dapper Dogs And Their People After many years of trying out different styles and brands of collars and other dog accessories, we decided to create our own line of items for dapper dogs and their people. Based in the Horse Heaven Hills of central Washington state, we are active outdoor enthusiasts and have had difficulty finding reasonably priced collars and other accessories that would hold up to the active lifestyle that we lead. Being a scenic and wildlife photographer, as well as a fire and emergency services photographer, I am always looking for products that will withstand the sometimes harsh atmosphere that we are faced with, so in addition to our ribbon collars, we have a growing line of gear made from re-purposed firefighter turnouts for both you and your dogs. We are avid supporters of pet rescue organizations and hope to help the cause through our sales here. A portion of every sale is donated to pet rescue.
