"In adults admitted to hospital with COVID-19 in the UK, we found that a minority of participants felt fully recovered 1 year after hospital discharge, with minimal improvement after a 5-month assessment."

This study of more than 2300 people found that only 28.9% felt fully recovered after a year. Among the study's participants, women were 33 percent less likely to fully recover than men.

Long-term studies on will play a crucial role in developing our understanding of the level of ongoing care that we need to make available for long haulers and the impact LC will have on the future of our society, economy, workforce, etc.

This would support our objective of closing the considerable knowledge gaps that remain in Long COVID. It is vital to have the kind of evidence the NIH can provide to combat misinformation and to reduce the risk of patients turning to unproven and potentially unsafe treatments.
