Laser Research Optics of Providence, RI, introduces sapphire laser debris shields that resist steel splatter, flash, and debris, helping maintain beam quality and reduce focus shift.
These shields feature >99.5% transmission at 1.06 µm and >80% at 650–670 nm, with A/R coatings on both sides. More durable than fused silica, they extend service life and minimize lens changes.
With 30x higher thermal conductivity and Mohs 9 hardness, they withstand harsh conditions. Available in 0.5” and 2.0” sizes, they have a 10-5 scratch-dig finish and 1/4 wave transmitted wavefront.
Pricing varies by size and quantity; quotes available upon request. Laserresearch.net
