🏥 University Orthopedics at AAHKS 2025

Dr. Eric Cohen of University Orthopedics presented to a packed audience at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons - AAHKS annual meeting.

He was part of the symposium “Solving Intraoperative Challenges in Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Video-Based Symposium,” where he presented “Solving Problems with Hip Stability, Leg Length, and Offset: An Evidence-Based Algorithm to Get It Right Every Time.”

The session featured expert faculty and moderators including Dr. Bill Hamilton - , Dr. Michael Taunton - , and Dr. Cam Ledford -Mayo Clinic Florida.

🏥 31st Annual Caroll M. Silver, MD Lectureship

The Department of Orthopaedics recently hosted the 31st Annual Caroll M. Silver, MD Lectureship on October 21–22, 2025.

This year’s Visiting Guest Professor was Dr. Annunziato “Ned” Amendola, the Virginia Flowers Baker Distinguished Professor and Director of the Division of Sports Medicine at Duke University .

Faculty, fellows, residents, and members of the Silver family gathered for the annual Silver Dinner, where Dr. Jonathan Liu (PGY5) shared stories from his recent medical mission trip to Honduras.

The following morning, Dr. Amendola delivered an inspiring lecture, “The Art of Knee Surgery.”

💙 Reposting from The Miriam Hospital in recognition of Scoliosis Awareness Month!

Earlier this month, their 2025 Moonlight Masquerade Gala raised nearly $900,000 in support of the Spine Center. This generosity helps provide life-changing care to patients like Phyllis DeMaio, whose scoliosis was treated by Dr. Alan Daniels, Chief of Spine Surgery.
