AAHKS 2025 – Advancing Innovation in Arthroplasty

The Brown University Division of Adult Reconstruction and Arthroplasty is proud to share our continued presence and contributions at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons - AAHKS 2025 Annual Meeting in Dallas. This year highlights both our faculty leadership and research excellence, with Dr. Eric Cohen spearheaded a symposium on complex hip reconstruction that packed the room, and Dr. Valentin Antoci delivering a featured lecture on infection prevention. Three of our abstracts ranked among the Top 100 submissions out of thousands from an international participation.

Research Highlights:
💻 AI-Generated Clinical Notes in Arthroplasty – Leveraging AI to enhance documentation efficiency and reduce surgeon burnout.
🧩 Predictors of Failure to Complete PROs after TKA – Identifying barriers to outcome measure completion to improve data quality and patient engagement.
⚙️ Outcomes of Discordant Surgical Approach in Revision THA – Understanding how approach changes impact recovery and complications.
🏙️ Neighborhood Deprivation and TJA Outcomes – Evaluating how social determinants of health influence joint replacement results using the AJRR database.
🦵 Cemented vs. Uncemented Tibial Implants in Prior ACL-Reconstructed Knees – Comparing fixation strategies to guide optimal implant selection.

We are proud of our team’s ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and academic leadership — further establishing Brown Orthopedics as a national contributor to the advancement of arthroplasty science and education.
