Carolee has been such an important part of Lone Pine Dermatology—bringing compassion to every patient she helped and warmth to everyone she worked with. Her commitment to our office and the people in it has truly made a lasting impact, and she will be deeply missed by both our staff and our patients.

With spring sports in full swing and summer right around the corner ☀️⚾️🏈 it’s the perfect time to talk about keeping your kids’ skin safe, clean, and protected during all that activity!

Here are a few quick tips for healthy skin during sports season:

🏃‍♂️ Shower ASAP after practices and games to remove sweat, dirt, and bacteria.
🧼 Don’t share equipment like helmets, hats, towels, or water bottles.
🧴 Clean gear regularly (especially pads and helmets!) to prevent breakouts and skin infections.
☀️ Apply sunscreen daily — even on cloudy days. Reapply during long outdoor events.
👕 Change out of sweaty clothes quickly to help prevent irritation and rashes.

If your child is experiencing persistent rashes, breakouts, warts, eczema flare-ups, or any lingering skin concerns, don’t wait to get it checked out.

Utah finally brought the cold… and your skin can definitely feel it 🥶
Dry, tight, sensitive skin is super common this time of year — but a few small changes can make a big difference!

Our cold-weather skin tips:
• Switch to a gentle, hydrating cleanser
• Moisturize within 3 minutes of showering
• Use thicker creams instead of lotions
• Turn down the shower temperature (we know… it’s hard 😅)
• Add a humidifier at night
• Don’t skip SPF — winter sun still counts!

If you’re struggling with eczema, irritation, or stubborn dryness that isn’t improving, it may need more than over-the-counter products.
