Providence Marina
Tonight's Good Night Lights Boat Parade will be the first of two special displays over the next few days. On Monday night, June 19th, the display will honor the spirits of two recently passed Tomorrow Fund Kids who were huge fans of GNL: Mackenzie Enos and Thomas Harrington. Gatherings are expected on both sides of the Providence River that night with many special features planned in support of the patients, families and caregivers at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Two of those will include the bucket trucks of Stanley Tree Service on the Providence side and a first ever "Necklace of Light" along the bike path in East Providence. Please consider joining Monday's special display in support of the families and friends of Mackenzie and Thomas. Signaling spots include (in East Providence): the East Bay Bike Path overlook on the Veterans Memorial Parkway; University Orthopedics at Kettle Point; Bold Point Park; (in Providence): the Hot Club; India Point Park; the entrance drive to Collier Point Park; the sidewalks on Dudley and Eddy Streets below the hospital. Both the boat parade tonight and the display on Monday night will begin at 8:30 pm cell phone time with both expected to run for approximately twenty minutes (or more). Do what you can to get in on these special GNL events. Steve B.
