Our practice became part of Brown Health Medical Group in October 2025, and we’re excited to take the next step in this merger. On April 1, 2026, this social media account will close as we fully transition updates to the main Brown University Health page. This merger enhances care coordination, expands access, and unifies more than 1,500 providers to improve patient care across our community.

As Angela Caliendo, MD, PhD, Warren Alpert Foundation Professor and Executive Vice Chair of Medicine at Brown University and President of Brown Physicians, Inc., shared: “A key benefit of this merger for both patients and providers will be the integration of BPI practices into Brown Health’s electronic health record system.”

As it was announced in October, Brown Medicine, part of Brown Physicians, Inc. (BPI) and Brown Health Medical Group have completed reviews by both the Federal Trade Commission and Rhode Island Attorney General and will move forward with a merger that will improve care coordination, expand access, and better serve patients across the state.

As we share this final edition of the Brown Medicine newsletter, we do so with full hearts, reflecting on the journey we’ve taken together and the community we’ve built over the years.
