Hola a todos! On October 15th, 2022 our Latinx Medical Student Association chapter at Warren Alpert Medical School hosted our first ever Salsa Night. This night of celebrating our Latinx community with Latin food, music, and dance was our way of closing out the Latinx Heritage Month. We opened our celebration to the greater AMS community of peers, faculty, and loved ones and were thrilled to share the evening with over 100 attendees. For this celebration, we aimed to raise money for the Latinx-run Providence organization AMOR, which provides a plethora of legal and community resources. Thanks to the attendees and generous donations from various Brown-affiliated medical departments and 50 Years of Medicine at Brown, we were able to raise $3,323.81 for AMOR. We are so excited to share these photos and videos from the successful night of celebrating and giving back to our community. Thank you to Mori Granot-Sanchez for an amazing Salsa lesson and thank you again to all who attended and donated!
