I have first hand experience with this in my own family. Please reach out for questions/support. Many doctors (psychiatrists, pediatricians, therapists, etc) aren’t trained in recognizing or treating this. Some don’t believe it exists because it presents as mental illness (anxiety, OCD, etc), behavioral issues (rage, tantrums, ODD), motor issues (handwriting regression, tics, etc). Parental awareness is key to getting proper treatment.
