This week we invite you to meet Julie Jett, HR Director, an integral part of our incredible team!

Julie began her career in long-term care at an assisted living community, working as a Business Office/Human Resource Manager. It didn’t take long for her to realize how much she truly enjoyed working with the elderly and how much there is to learn from them. That community quickly became her home away from home.

After three years, she transitioned to the nursing home side of long-term care and has never looked back. Julie discovered that her true passion is helping people—whether it’s supporting employees or caring for residents. She believes everyone needs someone who will listen and care, even when not every problem can be solved.

“I genuinely love what I do and value everything I have learned throughout my journey in long-term care.”

This week we invite you to meet Christina Jackson, Nurse, an integral part of our incredible team!

With 7 years of experience and a passion for helping others, Christina showcases our core values throughout everything she helps our residents achieve.

Growing up in foster care and facing health challenges in high school shaped her to be the compassionate nurse she is today. After earning her GED, she pursued nursing school, discovering a true passion for helping others and providing empathetic, patient-centered care.

She recently stepped back from management roles to focus on furthering her education, with goals of becoming a Nurse Practitioner or an Operating Room nurse. Her dedication and kindness make a meaningful difference for residents and their families every day.

In celebration of Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week, we are on Katelyn Laroche, Assistant Administrator, for her unwavering commitment to resident-centered care.

Katelyn’s passion for senior care began early in life. Growing up, her mother was the Director of the Cumberland Senior Center and built such strong relationships with the seniors there that Katelyn gained an “adopted” great-grandmother. Seeing firsthand how meaningful those connections were—and how deeply loved and valued the seniors felt—inspired Katelyn to follow a similar path.

“I wanted to be able to create that same great environment where residents feel valued and safe,” she shares. Today, in her role as Assistant Administrator, Katelyn works every day to foster a community where residents are known, respected, and supported, just as her mother modeled for her years ago.

In celebration of Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week, we are on Lindsey Bouchard, Administrator, for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to resident-centered care.

Lindsey’s journey in long-term care began at just 14 years old, when she worked as a dietary aide in a family-owned nursing home where her mother served as the Activities Director.

That early exposure inspired her to pursue a career in senior care. She served as an Assistant Administrator from 2012 to 2021 before stepping into her first Administrator role in 2021.

She shared, “I love being able to meet so many different residents and make an impact in their lives each day.”

Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a stately 4-story skilled nursing facility conveniently located adjacent to Roger William and Providence VA Hospitals. Nestled in one of Providence’s oldest neighborhoods and bordering the downtown area, Elmhurst has consistently been ranked as one of the top nursing homes in Rhode Island (and the nation) and is recognized for serving the community’s subacute rehabilitative and long-term care needs with distinction.

We are Medicare and Medicaid certified, and we are proud to be a preferred provider of Miriam Hospital. Our outstanding subacute rehabilitation program successfully reduces hospital readmissions and optimizes the physical function of individuals recovering from surgery or illness. Under the direction of esteemed area physicians, we look forward to expanding our services to the community with specialized clinical programs.
