Ever wonder what your therapist is doing between sessions? 👀🎨

Sometimes it looks like this: coloring, doodling, and taking a few mindful moments to reset 💫

Simple creative activities like coloring or doodling can support focus, emotional regulation, and nervous system calming — and research suggests doodling may even help with concentration and memory while processing information ✍️✨🧠

We also invite clients to use art supplies during sessions if it feels helpful. Some people find it easier to talk while their hands are busy, others find it grounding or relaxing. There’s no “right” way, just another tool to support presence and engagement. 💬🎨

Mindful moments don’t have to be complicated. Sometimes they’re just a marker, a page, and a few deep breaths 🌿

As we wrap up our 12 days of holiday wellness, we’re reminded that caring for your mental health isn’t something that ends with the season—it’s something you can carry with you year-round. Whether it’s setting boundaries, practicing mindfulness, staying active, or leaning on your support system, small, intentional choices can make a big difference.

As the holidays come to a close, give yourself permission to reflect on what you need, celebrate what you’ve made it through, and step into the new season with compassion for yourself and others. You’re doing the best you can—and that is enough. 💛
