🏒💙 Providence Bruins Night — Trauma Team Tribute

This past weekend, the Providence Bruins , fellow colleagues, and fans throughout the arena came together to honor our extraordinary Trauma Team. Their skill, compassion, and unwavering dedication make a life-saving difference when our community needs them most.

Recognized during the game and celebrated by spectators in attendance, these heroes were thanked for the critical care they provide every day — often in the most urgent moments. We were proud to have the team there to feel the appreciation and respect they so deeply deserve.

Thank you for all that you do for our community. 👏 Brown University Health Rhode Island Hospital

Today, we reflect on the powerful words and actions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who dedicated his life to justice, equality, and service to others. At Brown Surgical Associates, we are inspired by his commitment to improving lives and strive to uphold these values every day in the care we provide to our community.

Let's honor his legacy by continuing to work together for a brighter, more compassionate future. ❤️

⚠️ Health & Safety Update ⚠️

Due to an uptick in respiratory virus cases, Brown University Health has moved to Respiratory Virus Status Red effective January 6.

Masks are now required at all times for patients, visitors, and staff at Brown University Health hospitals and medical offices.

We appreciate your cooperation as we take these precautions to help protect our patients, care teams, and community.

Due to a significant rise in flu and other respiratory virus cases across our community, Brown University Health is moving to Respiratory Virus Status RED, effective Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

What this means for patients and visitors:
😷 Level 2 surgical masks are required at all times for patients, visitors and staff in our hospitals and clinics. Masks will be provided to patients and visitors at entrances.

This step is being taken in response to increased influenza cases in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and higher numbers of flu-related emergency visits and hospitalizations. Our goal is to protect patients, visitors, and care teams and reduce further spread.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
