First off… what a wild ride labor/birth and postpartum are… a completely new appreciation and respect for mothers unlocked 🔓🤯🫶

C-section recovery is no joke… recovering from major abdominal surgery (7 layers of tissue 🫨) while taking care of a new (in my case giant) baby is the ultimate test of balance and self care.

6 weeks postpartum and here are some of my biggest takeaways 👶🏼✨❤️‍🩹 that have helped me heal, nourish, and stay balanced mentally & physically:

1️⃣ Rest is part of recovery. Of course sleep is a struggle, so this advice can feel annoying (notice I said rest and not sleep). But the main takeaway is that you unless you are taking care of yourself or baby, you should be in bed or lying low. Ditch anything else on your to do list and don’t feel guilty!! The newborn bubble only lasts so long… soak it up.

2️⃣ Protein + collagen-rich foods to help with healing & digestion. Digestion remains sluggish postpartum so make sure to stock up on warm foods that are easy to digest snd pack fiber and nutrients. My go-tos were soups and stews made with bone broth (beef stew, chicken soup) and eggs/breakfast foods. Pair with vitamin C rich foods such as berries for a boost that helps with incision healing.

🌞Officially on maternity leave until January 2026✨

I will be out of office until then and plan to send an email update (will share here too) with more info on my official return date and link to get on my schedule!

As of now my tentative return date is 1/5/26 with plans to be mostly virtual moving forward. In the meantime…

How I’m staying balanced (aka practicing what I preach!) in this phase of life during my first pregnancy 🤰🏼⚡️

I teach my clients to focus on the present and prioritize what makes sense for their goals and lifestyle based on what season of life they are in… and I always strive to do the same!

While somehow everything feels so different during pregnancy there are so many things that are also the same 🤔🧠

This includes:
🍳Starting strong with a balanced breakfast
🛒Being flexible with meals and choosing quick and easy balanced options since I haven’t felt like cooking as much
🐕 Spending time with Guinness while he’s still the baby of the house
☀️Not worrying about bouncing back and instead staying present in the current moment and nourishing baby and me
✨Belly oil (loving and )
🤰🏼 Not hiding the bump… showing it off and appreciating its beauty!
❤️Date nights out with my husband to spend time together before baby arrives
🥒 Honoring cravings while still listening to hunger & fullness cues
🧠 Staying present and thinking positive, taking care of my mental health
🥙 Choosing balanced meals as often as I can to keep me fueled and strong
🙏 Being proud of my body and what it’s capable of
💪 Continuing to move my body in ways that feel good to keep my body strong
💗Preparing and trusting my body & mind for labor & birth
😴 Resting when needed with zero guilt
🫐 Prioritizing key nutrients such as omega 3s, vitamin C, magnesium, and choline

I’m just leaning into whatever each week throws my way and doing my best to prepare for baby’s arrival. Less than 3 months until baby’s due date and officially 2 months away from my maternity leave 🤯

I wasn’t sure how pregnancy would impact my body image but I have honestly felt empowered, strong and beautiful so far. I’ve physically felt great so for me I think that is a huge factor.

I’m not sure what the third trimester (or postpartum for that matter) will bring body-image wise, but I will continue to focus on showing my body love & respect and embracing each phase of life as it comes and focus on fueling my body, mind, & soul accordingly 🌕 This phase has been pretty incredible❣️I am so proud of my body… women are pretty freaking amazing!!

Swipe to see weekly bump progress starting from 15 weeks (2nd pic) up to 28 weeks this week as I enter the third trimester 🤰🏼

Baby is measuring ahead of schedule and I am still feeling pretty good! Although as the belly grows I definitely am feeling a bit slower on my feet and the third trimester fatigue is setting in slowly but surely.

It’s hard to believe we are less than 3 months to baby’s due date!

Taking care of myself head to toe, inside & out as best as I can before baby gets here 💚

May Belly Bubble 🤰🏼🫧🌸

Weeks 23–26 brought:
👶 A growing belly & strong appetite
🪷 Backyard peonies (my favorite) are blooming
🫐 Loaded yogurt bowls are still a staple
☕️ Espresso shots (yes I can have 200mg per day so don’t come @ me!) courtesy of the coffee and espresso maker my new obsession
🍬 Passed my 1 hour glucose test
🐕 Lots of puppy and belly snuggles with Guinness. He is such a sweetheart just like Jasper.
🍅 Homemade balanced plates and spring/summer recipes
⛵️A day in Newport with my love celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary
💪 Strength training, pelvic floor PT, and yoga/stretch sessions to keep this body feeling strong and to ready for birth
🐺 A growing Guinness man (7 months old!)
🔑 Getting some baby essentials (thankful for supportive family & friends) and planning for my baby shower in June!
🍔 Tried a burger from and it was incredible!!
🧁 Homemade muffins (I never bake so idk what this is about). Starting a day with one and an espresso shot plus some electrolytes is elite!
🚧 A growing to-do list (nursery = “under construction”)
🥩 Steak frites at is another elite combo I’ve been craving!
🍟 Lobster rolls & fries = giving baby a taste of the ocean state (this one from was 💯)
🥪Breakfast BLT from has been a staple craving throughout and is still going strong
🤰🏼Getting used to this bump and showing my body love as we close out the second trimester

Just 3 months to go until Baby’s ETA on 9/2 — still wondering if we’re nesting or just making stylish piles.
