Join us in congratulating two committed volunteers who were recognized as 2025 Volunteers of the year at Hasbro Children’s!

Congratulations to Sally MacIsaac, 2025 Volunteer of the Year! Sally has been volunteering with at Hasbro Children’s for almost two years, logging 548 hours of service. She divides her time between the Pediatric Partial Hospital, where she supports therapists and clinical teams while maintaining a therapeutic and supportive environment for patients, and in the Hasbro 4 playroom, spending time engaging with patients through play—whether in the playroom or at the bedside—offering comfort, connection, and joy.

Congratulations to Anna Cartier, 2025 College Volunteer of the Year! Anna started volunteering at Hasbro Children’s in 2024 and contributed 309 hours of service. She has supported many areas of the hospital, including serving as a greeter, assisting in the Breast Imaging Center at Rhode Island Hospital, volunteering at Camp Dotty, providing tours for onboarding volunteers, and supporting the emergency department, which is where most of her volunteering experience has taken place. In the Hasbro emergency department, she offers distraction activities for patients and siblings in the waiting room and helps maintain a clean, child-friendly environment by disinfecting toys, tablets, and other surfaces.

Our volunteers are the quiet heroes of our hospital—offering comfort, support, and a helping hand wherever it’s needed. We’re deeply grateful for your generosity and the care you bring to our community!

Born at just 24 weeks and weighing a mere one pound, DJ’s early days were filled with uncertainty. After months of challenges in a South Dakota hospital, DJ’s family made the life-changing decision to transfer him to Hasbro Children’s.

Today, DJ is a lively toddler, enjoying trips to the zoo and even trying grilled cheese sandwiches—his favorite! His family is working toward the day when DJ can live ventilator-free.

This year’s Heroes Ball directly benefited patients like DJ. Your support is helping expand access to personalized, innovative treatments for children and young adults.
