Today, March 10th, is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This day is observed annually to highlight the impact of HIV on women & girls, and promote prevention, testing, and treatment.
Since 1983, ASGCC has been at the frontlines of responding to the HIV pandemic, including advocating for the lives and rights of those impacted. There is no cure for HIV, but it’s treatable today when people have access to medical care and supports.
Did you know that ASGCC provides FREE, year-round services for people living with HIV? That includes – but is not limited to – case management, transportation to medical appointments, housing search and advocacy, food access (including a daily meals program in the Outer Cape, on-site emergency food pantries, and deliveries of food essentials in the Mid, Lower and Upper Cape), pharmacy access with home delivery, and much more!
