Another day, another pool. Last shot from Paraty, Brazil. Today we arrived in Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best.... but hopefully it will be better tomorrow!

We arrived in Paraty today. This town is known as one of the former main slave ports of Brazil, but now... a jumping off point for gorgeous beaches, great food, and cultural heritage.

After 15 hours of travel, we decided to just relax in the pool. Very much needed to stretch those muscles after sitting for so long! Now, time to explore!

Tomorrow I say “see you soon” to this beautiful man who I called my “boyfriend” for the last 8 months.

I met him at a very crazy and difficult time in my life, he gave me a reason to smile, and a reason to be happy every day. He appeared, out of nowhere, when I needed someone like him the most. I am so lucky.

Having spent the entire quarantine with him and then some really tested our new relationship, but we made it. Now, after being stuck in an apartment together for 4 months, we will face another test not of confinement/quarantine... but of long distance. We will make it.

To say that he has helped to shape me into a better person, to make me love myself, to push me towards goals, and see a light at the end of the tunnel... is an understatement. I will forever be grateful to your kindness, generosity, and love.

Until we meet again, on the other side of the planet.
