Sometimes being “low-maintenance” isn’t just a personality trait.
Sometimes it’s:
* learning not to ask for too much
* minimizing your feelings
* convincing yourself you’re “fine”
* becoming independent too early
* avoiding needs because they once felt ignored, criticized, or overwhelming to others

Many people who struggle with people-pleasing, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or hyper-independence learned somewhere along the way that having needs felt uncomfortable or unsafe.

So they adapted.

They became the person who:
“doesn’t need much”
“goes with the flow”
“doesn’t want to be a burden”

But having emotional needs does not make you difficult.
Needing support does not make you weak.
And learning to express your needs is not selfish- it’s part of healing🤍

Pregnancy and postpartum can bring so many emotions: joy, fear, overwhelm, anxiety, grief, love, exhaustion, and everything in between. But for many parents, these struggles go beyond the “baby blues.”

Perinatal mental health disorders can include anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis, and they are more common than many people realize.

The good news: these conditions are treatable, support is available, and healing is possible🤍

This World Maternal Mental Health Day, we want you to know:
You are not failing.
You are not alone.
And you deserve care too.

Awareness leads to compassion 🤍

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that every person is more than a diagnosis. Behind every label is a story, a family, a set of experiences, and a human being doing their best.

When we choose to understand instead of assume, we create space for healing, connection, and hope.

Let’s keep learning. Let’s keep showing up for each other.

People pleasing often develops for a reason. Maybe it kept relationships stable, helped you feel accepted, or protected you from conflict.

Over time, it can become exhausting. Healing from it doesn’t mean becoming harsh or uncaring, it means learning that your needs matter too🤍

Infertility Awareness Week may be coming to a close, but for many people, the emotional weight of infertility continues long after the week ends. 🤍

Infertility is often talked about as a medical journey, but it can also be a deeply emotional one. It may bring grief, anxiety, isolation, relationship stress, identity struggles, and the exhaustion of carrying uncertainty month after month.

If this season has felt heavier than expected, you are not weak, dramatic, or alone. What you’re carrying is real.

Therapy can’t erase infertility, but it can offer support, healing, coping tools, and a place to process everything that comes with it.

As we wrap up Infertility Awareness Week, we want to remind anyone walking this path: your pain matters, your story matters, and you deserve support too💙

Some timelines arrive easily. Others unfold through waiting, detours, grief, healing, and uncertainty.

If life has not gone according to the timeline you imagined- especially in areas as tender as family building, healing, relationships, or personal milestones- it does not mean you are behind, failing, or less worthy.

Your value has never been dependent on how quickly something happened for you🤍

Infertility is rarely just one emotion.
It’s often a mix of hope and grief, strength and exhaustion, love, and loss all at the same time.

If you’ve felt this tension, it makes sense. You’re navigating something incredibly hard.

Avoiding emotions doesn’t always look like pushing feelings away. Sometimes it looks productive, helpful, or even “healthy.”

Here’s what these can look like ⬇️

🧠 Staying constantly busy
When there’s no quiet time, there’s no space for feelings to surface. Staying busy can be a way to stay in control and avoid uncomfortable emotions.

🎧 Always needing noise or distraction
Podcasts, shows, and music aren’t bad, but if silence feels uncomfortable you may be trying to outrun what’s underneath.

🌀 Analyzing instead of feeling
Thinking about your feelings isn’t the same as actually feeling them. Logic can become a shield that keeps emotions at a distance.

🤍 Being overly helpful to others
Focusing on everyone else’s needs can feel safer than turning inward and tending to your own.

😴 Feeling exhausted without knowing why
Unprocessed emotions take energy. Even if nothing “big” happened, carrying unacknowledged feelings can be draining.

If you see yourself here, you’re not doing anything wrong. This is often a learned way to cope. Awareness is the first step to doing something different 💛

Save this if you need the reminder, or share with someone who might relate.
