| We want to take a moment to highlight our new pickleball and outdoor basketball courts! Since their unveiling last summer, these courts have been in constant use. Students can be found out there before school, during lunch breaks, after dinner, and well into the evening—playing pickleball, basketball games, organizing spontaneous tournaments, or just enjoying time outdoors with friends! The courts have become more than just a place to play; they’ve created a vibrant gathering space that promotes movement, friendship, and well-being. Their popularity speaks volumes about how much our students value spaces that bring them together in fun, healthy ways!

We’re deeply grateful to the generous alumni family who made this possible! Their gift continues to make a daily impact on the lives of our students in meaningful ways. If you’d like to learn more about contributing to upcoming student-focused projects, we’d love to talk! Feel free to contact us today!

They did it! This past weekend, a group of our students reached the summit of Mount Timpanogos for a recreation adventure! Each year, this experience challenges our students to go beyond their comfort zones—building resilience, teamwork, and a deeper belief in what they’re capable of achieving.

Congratulations to all who made the climb! We are proud of your determination and spirit. You didn’t just conquer a mountain—you grew from the journey!

| We are pleased to announce the opening of a new building on our Provo campus, designed to better support our mission and the essential work we do every day! This addition reflects our ongoing commitment to providing an environment that builds on our values and mindsets. The building will be named “The Heritage Hub”, or “Hub” for short.

The new building features a bright, welcoming entrance to create a warm and calming first impression. Whether greeting new families, students, or visitors, the entrance sets a professional and friendly tone that reflects our culture of care.

As you venture further, you’ll be welcomed by our Founders Wall, a tribute to the visionary, Jerry Spanos, who laid the foundation for our mission. Just beyond, the History Hall offers a visual journey through key milestones, celebrating the growth, impact, and resilience of our organization over the years. This space is a reminder of where we started—and how far we’ve come together.

Understanding the importance of collaboration in our work, the new building includes multiple meeting rooms tailored specifically for our treatment environment. These rooms are thoughtfully designed to support confidentiality, teamwork, and efficient care planning, and are equipped with updated technology to streamline communication and documentation.

Finally, we’re also excited to introduce a fully equipped training room to support onboarding, continuing education, and development for all our caregivers and guests.

The Heritage Hub stands as a symbol of our shared journey—honoring the past, embracing the present, and building toward a future of continued growth, collaboration, and our sacred mission. We can’t wait to see all the meaningful work and connections that will take place within these walls!

| At The Heritage Community, we offer year-round academics, taking a unique approach to meet the needs of our students. Traditional classrooms don’t always work for every learner, so we’ve designed specialized environments that foster academic growth while building essential life skills.

For our Spark Academy, we have created classrooms tailored for neurodiverse students—helping them engage academically while developing executive functioning skills in a real-life context. Project-based learning (PBL), for example, is an instructional approach we use to give students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects set around challenges and problems they may face in the real world.

| At The Heritage Community, our Equine Therapy Program is more than just learning about horseback riding—it’s a powerful tool for growth and healing. Horses have an incredible ability to sense human emotions and respond in ways that build trust and connection. For teens who struggle to open up, these nonverbal interactions create a safe space to develop confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy relationships.

Our dedicated, certified Equestrian Instructors play a key role in this process, guiding students as they step outside their comfort zones and discover new strengths! Through patience, encouragement, and expert instruction, they help students navigate challenges in the arena that translate into personal growth and beyond!

We’re grateful for our equestrian team and the impact they make every day! They are the best!
