The best mom hobbies are the ones you can drop in 0.2 seconds when your toddler runs past holding… who knows what 😅
If your hobby can survive an instant emergency, it’s a good mom hobby.

Here are the undefeated, drop-and-run favorites:
✨ Crocheting — literally pause anywhere
✨ Journaling or gratitude lists
✨ Adult coloring pages
✨ Reading a chapter book you can pick up and put down
✨ Organizing photos
✨ Simple baking
✨ Light decluttering
✨ Easy scrapbooking
✨ Listening to an audiobook or podcast
✨ Stretching or a quick mini-workout

If it doesn’t get ruined when you disappear mid-task… it counts 👏💛

When your little one starts climbing out of the crib 👶✨
It’s usually a sign they’re ready for a sleep transition — even if you’re not! 😅🛏️

Our pediatricians recommend:
• Lower the mattress as far as it goes
• Remove climbable items (pillows, bumpers, stuffed animals)
• Consider transitioning to a toddler bed for safety
• If you feel you must add a net, choose a full tent that attaches under the mattress — not a topper — but remember there is still a risk 🚨

Safety > containment every time 💛
If you’re unsure what’s right for your child, we’re always here to help.

💛

Leftover antibiotics? 🚫
That’s actually a sign they weren’t taken correctly.
Antibiotics aren’t like pain meds — you don’t stop when you feel better. You need to take the full course so the infection is completely gone.

Why?
If you stop early, the strongest bacteria can survive… and those are the ones that cause the infection to come back even worse. Finishing the prescription makes sure the germs are fully wiped out 💊✨

Keep your family healthy — finish every dose your provider prescribes 💛

Infants 4 months - 12 months should sleep 12 to 16 hours per day including naps

1 - 2 years of age should sleep 11 to 14 hours per day (including naps)

3 - 5 years of age should sleep 10 to 13 hours per day including naps if they will take one!

6 - 12 years of age should sleep 9 to 12 hours per day

13 - 18 years of age should sleep 8 to 10 hours per day

Good sleep: improves attention, behavior, learning, memory, emotional regulation, quality of life, and mental and physical health.

Lack of sleep: leads to attention/behavior/ learning problems, increases the risk of accidents, injuries, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and depression.

Here’s a quick list of foods that are still worth cutting or avoiding around age 2 👇

🍇 Grapes — always quartered (even “small” ones!)
🌭 Hot dogs — slice lengthwise and into small pieces
🍅 Cherry tomatoes — cut in quarters
🥕 Raw carrots — thinly sliced or cooked soft
🍎 Apple slices — no skin for now, chopped small
🥜 Nuts (like cashews, almonds) — whole nuts = choke risk
🍿 Popcorn — avoid until 4 years old 🚫
🧀 Cheese cubes — cut thin or shredded
🥖 Bread chunks — tear into small bites (especially crusty bread)

Tiny throats, big curiosity — keep it safe and snack on 💕

No disrespect to our dog parents out there! 🐶🐕we know that there is so much love and sacrifice for both dog parents and human parents❤️✨

Your dog will probably never crash your car though.😂

An estimated 3 out of 10 kids grind their teeth before reaching age 5.

It’s usually no cause for alarm, and most children outgrow it by the time they reach age 6.

Tooth grinding doesn’t mean that your child is having a nightmare or under extreme stress. Some causes of tooth grinding include pain (for instance, from an ear infection or teething) and improper alignment of the teeth.

While anxiety can be a contributing factor, there is no connection between tooth grinding and problems of behavior or personality.
